Hello fellow pros! Can someone help me understand the way spf actually works such as is the number on the bottle what actually goes on your skin or is the contents of the bottle. I have several clients probing this topic and not quite sure how to answer it. Thanks!!=)

Not too sure what you are asking so my answer might not be what you are looking for...but hope this helps.  If it says it is SPF 15...it means once applied to your skin, that your skin can be in the sun 15 times longer than it normally would do without burning.  30 SPF is 30 times longer... i found this for you as this might explain it better than what i seem to be able to right now!! http://www.rn-guide-to-skin-care.com/What-Does-SPF-Mean.html      It is the number on the bottle going onto the skin not the whole content.
