Holiday scent essential oils?

I need a few oils for my holiday facials to add to my hot towels. I would like a nice scent like peppermint, but with that being said I need to be cautious of the eye area. Any ideas?

No Peppermint or Pine! Too strong and neither are a 'spa' scent I would enjoy at all, as a client. I do as Clair does: put a few drops on my hands in front of the steam and they can breathe in, then I start on only their shoulders, with massage cream so not so strong. I like lavender mixed with rosemary, just one drop of each. The whole salon takes on that scent after a few clients. Orange is nice also. Pine would remind me of cleaning solution. No no no.

Haha, you're right, I hadn't thought about how much pine is associated with cleaning products! You are absolutely right!

This is what I do: No essential oils on towels, however I put a couple drops on my hands mixed with a little oil. Rub them together so there is a strong scent, but not much residue left on hands. Then I put in front of clients face and have them breathe in a couple times. I mainly use peppermint, but may use eucliptus (sp) or rosemary if they have sinus problems (although the peppermint works great for that also). I end my facials this way, as my facials often put my clients in a super relaxed state and I like to wake them up a little before they leave. The peppermint is very refreshing. I just gave away my secret...lol. But my clients LOVE this. :)

Matlock, I think it may be better at the end of treatment, yes, since peppermint is kind of a stimulating WAKE UP smell! I actually have about a QUART!!! no kidding, of Pep.oil I've never thought of using in the treatment room, so I'll try it!! You're gonna laugh at this: A few years ago, my family heard 'rodents' scampering in the walls at night when the house was quiet. Husband set mouse traps in attic, caught a few, & we ended up paying company (hugely!) to 'seal' the attic openings with mesh under the guttering. But before deciding to pay guttering company to do that, we were told by several sources to use Peppermint Oil in the attic around the perimeter, & it would repel the little varmints! Seemed to work, but who could be going up to 'restore' that oil all the time?! Advice is on internet, too. So I'd bought a GIANT bottle at the healthfood store! Still have most of it...Ladies, you just never know what valuable advice you'll learn on this site! ; )

The oil is so potent that it 'burns' when it gets on the skin! Matlock, is yours mixed with another oil, to dilute its potency?
