Has anyone used The Square for their credit card processing?  If you have would you recommend it?  If not, what other service company would you recommend for your credit card processing needs? Thanks!

It has worked well for me. It's the only one I've used so far.

Yes, I use it.   The only thing I don't like about it and it could just be my phone and provider etc is:  When I am in an area with a bad signal (I worked a Trade Show in Long Beach this year where there was NO signal) I couldn't take payment!  I did see people using ipads and they seemed ok...but a regular cell phone with Square in an area with bad signal is not a good thing!!  Other than that....works great and I am happy with it!!

Ok good to know!  Thank you so much for the input.

I'm very happy with it. The least expensive of all the processors too. Easy and convenient.

I have been using the Square Card Reader since I opened my skincare boutique back in May and I have had no problems at all.  I love it and it's simplicity.  Clients think it's pretty neat too :)

Square is only good for low volume accounts. If your volume is $1000 or more, there are much cheaper alternatives out there. I checked out this free book at www.merchantsafeguard.com, and learned a lot.

I use square and I love it. I get my money within a few hours directly in my account and I never have to worry about missing out on services because they dont have cash. The only issue is that I never can swipe my card on the card reader right, so i always have to key in the info.

Sandra, Do you get an error message that the credit card is not swiping through? I've been using Gopayment from Intuit which has been great for a long time and now suddenly I am having issues swiping the card as I get an error 4 to 5 times before it actually accepts it through. I don't put in the information manually because there's a fee for it. I also don't like the extra fees I got charged for because of clients using their reward type of cards which they didn't tell me about. I am considering to try Square instead but I am just hoping I don't run into the same swiping problem or extra fees.

Hi Sandra, I sometimes have issues swiping my client's card and if I flip the card, so I'm actually swiping wrong, then quick flip it the correct way and swipe it takes it. If that makes sense? Also you have to put the card in straight and swipe the card all the way through before lifting card because it won't read it that way.Hope that helps because it has for me :) I love the square

I love my square card. It's easy and makes taking all kind of payments super easy. I think you will love it! I use it on my phone and on my ipad

I use The Square also, it is a great credit card processor for beginning. I have been researching Spa/Salon Management Programs for my spa computer and most of them already have credit card processing, reports, time clock many other great features included. I found this website http://www.salonsoftwarereviews.com/

I use the Square and Love it! 8 )
