Hi all. The Aveda salon I worked at has recently shut its doors. Since then I've decide to go the way of booth rental. I have used Aveda for 6 years, but they don't sell to renters. I would like to find a line that is affordable, but results driven.

look into skin scripts.  Awesome company...amazing customer service...outstanding education that is FREE...ridiculously low shipping of $5 and you get product in 2 days...and the products are GREAT, they work, smell great, have awesome enzymes...etc etc.  I am not a rep and I don't have the full line right now but have started to transition.  No min order!  There is a group on here too that you can check out...other Estys are always recommending to try things and the owner is extrenmely active on the group.

Hi Rachel! I agree with Sheila. I recommend Skin Scripts too. The owner is an aesthetician so you get a lots of business support and understanding. Wonderful education for free, great customer service and the only company with a low flat shipping rate of $5 if you order one product or a 100.

Thanks. Just checked the website out and the products look great. I emailed the company and I am waiting for a reply. Do you ladies know if they happen sell "starter kits" for some one like me?  Like a full back bar kit w/ some retail products.

They sell whatever you want, there is no min order.  Also, you can buy sample kits, one for backbar and one for retail where you get one of everything they have in a sample size and it's $15 each and $5 shipping. You can go on the SS group and speak directly to Lisa as well.

wow that is a great deal. How large are the sample sizes?

the retail stuff will give you about a weeks worth of product...the backbar enzymes and peels are about 1-2 uses.  When you order a full retail size too you get a sample size of that product at no charge, but you can buy samples if needed as well for under $5.

I am in a similar situation and researching new lines.  I have heard great things about Skin Scripts from the ladies on this forum, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried glo-therapeutics?  I was just referred to them today (or vice versa) and we also have them in the office that I rent from but I haven't used the products personally.  I am looking for a filler-free, results-oriented, naturally-derived but effective line that is great for all skin including sensitive.  Must be comprehensive (cleansers, toners, day/night cremes, serums, exfoliant, masques, etc).  Thanks for letting me piggyback on your topic and best of luck to you all :)

Emilie...I use Glo right now.  While I do like the line...their shipping is pretty expensive and makes it hard for people in small business to make profits.  It's at least 20 or more to ship and takes at least a week to get products.  I have done a cost comparison with glo and ss and overall ss does come out better price wise.  I like Glo for basics like cleanser, toner, moisturizer and sunblock, and their restorative mask is really nice but thats really all that I like from the line.  They have a a large product offering which is nice, but almost too much.  They have 3 or 4 different retinol products alone which can get a little confusing.  I hate the smell of their enzymes...I am making the transition to SS completely.  Obverall it's just a better deal for the esty and more affordable for the client as well.  I know you like the organic products, and I just checked out Nardos Naturals and I am really liking it as well.  If you want, you can check out their website and I can send you contact info for them as well.  Also, you can't get samples from Glo unless you spend a certain amount of money and they really don't have a lot when it comes to samples.  I def don't like that.  Not trying to talk you out of it or be negative but I have been thinking a lot about this.  The CS for Glo or at least in my area isn't great and they offer about 2 training classes at $100 for each.  Def don't get the support loike you do with SS.  Just my 2 cents and then some,.  LOL.  Hope you are doing and feeling awesome!

this sounds like MLM...is that correct?
