How is your month going?

How is everyone's month looking? Do you have a special package you are offering? 

Mine has started off slow but hopefully will pick up soon. I just moved in with a massage therapist that is relatively busy so we have been trying to offer clients package deals and she tells all of her clients about my new services and give a $10 off coupon. 

Do you think that I should put a sign out for her clients that says, would you like to add a facial today for X dollars?  Maybe $10 off?

January has been slow- I have seen a lot of my groupon clients- I think a lot of people are trying to save money (new years resolutions) so it would be a good idea to offer an amazing deal. Just make sure you are still making the money that you need to make. I always find that Feb is a good month because you can offer valentines specials.

Oh yes, put a sign. You will surprised. So far this has been my best January ever. I have tripled my income from last year ;)

Yes I think it's a great idea to put out a sign offering $10 off your services.

For me the last two weeks of December were slow but for some reason I'm super busy in January as I have been the last 3 years. 

Last month I decided to really focus on my marketing and organizing certain specials for the year ahead of time so that when a holiday or event approached I would be ready.  Last year, I would think about it a couple days before the event and I totally lost out!!!!

I read an article latey ( I think Skin Inc.) that really outlined how to get a head start on your marketing before any important dates like Mother's Day, Father's Day etc...  I created an excel spread sheet that has each month and any holidays or occasions & seasons where I could market my services specifically for that event.  I'm sending my newsletter annoucements through Constant Contact.  I would be happy to share my spreadsheet with you or anyone else interested.  It's pretty basic with just each month listed and holidays and seasons.  It gives you a visual and then you can start brainstorming ideas and specials that work for you. :o)  Send me your email address if you're interested. I don't know if I could upload it here. 

Last week I sent out a Superbowl Spa Specials with a 49ers and Raven's Facial Specials using Skin Script photos from their facebook page.  I just customized the facials based on: 49er's Pomegranate Enzyme with Gogi berry Mask for anti aging and the Raven's Blueberry Enzyme with Strawberry/Mint Mask for Blemish Control.  I intentionally kept the team colors similar to the fruit colors..Does that make sense??  For a special touch I added "Harbaugh FullBack Restoration" Treatment.  I got some very good feedback on this one.  Skin Script has some wonderful seasonal pro products that really make it easy to create some buzz with your clients.

Also keep in mind that many clients love to come in on federal holidays.  This year I will be working on President's day and the other Monday holidays for the year.  I'm independent so I'm able to set my own hours and days but for those who are employed with spas, you may want to pitch this to your spa owner if they are normally closed on Monday's.

Denise you are AWESOME!  That is so kind of you to share that with us!!  I bought the 12 months of spa marketing book so I have gotten some random ideas from that but I love your organization.  I love love love skin scripts ideas!  I am really looking forward to completely transitioning to the line.  I just need to sell my glotherapeutics stuff.

Awesome job too ladies on being busy!  I know the LMT and I have sold quite a few combo's so now it's just a matter of time for booking.  The LMT is collecting the money for those since it is her business and then she pays me when they come in which I am 100% ok with.

Me too can't hurt anything.  I offered a coupon for valentines day in a local magazine and have gotten some responses but I didn't really do anything at the office as far as a flyer.
