Does anyone know of any good skin care lines for men that we can retail? Also any tips from your experience with male clients. Please share your knowledge or any of your experiences with male clients, giving them facials, their buying habits, what they like, how/what to sell them etc.  I hope we get some responses!  Thank you everyone!

The only Line I've sold for men is Dermalogica's men shave line.   The daily clean scrub is a  nice product that sells fast, for both men and women.. My selling point is having it in the shower, as a quick exfoliation, and helps them to remember to exfoliate at a minimum of twice a week.   Wish I could be more of a help, but the spa I work at has a high percentage of female clientele.  All the best.
I agree with Brianna!  My boyfriend uses that line, and I've sold it to a few other male clients who love it.  I love that it makes them remember SPF, because most men won't remember to use it.
I am a new Esty and am using Bioelements. I have my husband using the men's shaving line from them and he loves it. He seen a huge reduction in barbae and gets a better shave. We have never tried anything else though, so I really can't compare to any other professional lines. Good luck!!

I like jean d'Arcel for a men's line. They have a whole mens facial kit that smells amazing and masculine, has everything you need a facial all in one kit for about $20 cost. My male clients really enjoy it, and they always say they are glad the products smell manly and not flowery. Male clients are some of the easiest to sell products to- they seem to buy anything I recommend to them without having to think about it. I like to recommend a facial wash/scrub they can use in the shower and a moisturizer with built in sunscreen. Keep it simple, they don't want to use 20 different products twice a day, but they are willing to use 2, or maybe 3. A salicylic facial wash is great for men with ingrown hair issues but also be careful about recommending glycolic or heavily acid based repair cremes that would normally be applied after shaving, potentially causing a lot of irritation and creates sun sensitivity- ouch. My male clients also love a combination of something they can feel is 'doing something' like giving a microderm treatment, and then a nice relaxing neck, shoulder and scalp massage while a soothing gel mask penetrates. Be careful about applying mud based masks that dry, they can be very difficult to remove with beard stubble! Also, remember downward strokes when using cotton rounds!

Male clients rock! Now, if we could just a few more to come in?!

The skin care line I recommend for my male clients is PCA Skin Care Solution of Men.  It contains 3 products; Total Wash Face & Body, Total Line & Pore Minimizer and a Calming Hydrator SPF 25.  The Face & Body Cleanser is used in the shower then the remaining 2 products used after.  I have some clients that asked for a weekly mask or exfoliant after they got into a routine with their products.  If they have issues like rosasea or acne, I recommend the same skin care line since its' packaging is appropriate for both men and women.

I have several male clients that come in regularly for facials and back treatments.  I always ask what their music preference is as some men don't care for the "spa" sounds so I keep lots of variety on my IPOD.

Hope this helps!

Denise
