I've never used the TCA Peel from Skin Script. Below is a pic of my client. Unfortunately I don't have any profile pics and her skin is a little clearer now. She just had a baby in December and her acne flared up!! Now she is done breastfeeding and wants to get rid of her scars. I was thinking of doing the SS TCA Peel mixed in with derma files. What do you guys think?

I think that you don't want to start out with a TCA if she has any inflammation.
That's great that the acne has calmed down some.
I would focus on home care products and take a slower approach, staying with the enzyme facials for a few months before moving into peels.
Clients need to be realistic regarding scars and acne scarring.
I am not a fan of diamond microdermabrasion OR the derma files.
She is on home care products and has been for over a year. I have also been treating her with enzyme facials. She doesn't have inflammation. She is definitely ready for peels, I'm just trying to see if the SS TCA peel series would be a good choice for her.
She knows the scars will not completely go away and we have talked about everything.
Thanks ladies!
Since the TCA lightening protocol starts with a lactic, followed by a glycolic to condition the skin prior to the TCA, you have nothing to lose by going ahead with the lactic peel now. If she has oily skin - which it doesn't really look like, maybe you could use the Cranberry Turnover instead.
See how her skin looks with that.
If she responds well, the glycolic would be next up.
And then the TCA!
I love all these answers below. I agree that you need to follow the protocol and work your client through it as Cindy and Misty mention below. I have a progressive, not aggressive approach to skin. So, treat it nice and work it through the motions mentioned below and eventually end with the TCA.
Lisa- When do you think I can introduce the derma files? I know that it is an option to do micro on week 8 so should I just wait for that?
Thanks
I use dermafiles in all treatments. I use my dermafiles very gently directly on top of the enzymes under steam for approximately 1 minute. No pressure, just circular motions to polish off the dead skin (gently). Avoid the active pustular acne or inflammed acne - just work around it.
