Hi wonderful ladies who make the world more beautiful. The other day I gave my son a facial and he was complaining that the steam does not smell good and made me think about my clients. What if they feel the same way. How can I make my steamer be more pleasant without using aromatherapy? Is ther something u can put in steamer besides distilled water?

Mine also smelled bad when I 1st bought it. It took a few uses for the smell to go away. I'm not sure if it is a good idea to put anything in them. Maybe you can just spray the nozzle with aroma therapy mist?

I never noitced mine smelling nor has anyone mentioned any, I do use distilled water and run vinegar thru it weekly.

most of the steamers come with a little cotton piece that is IN the actual head of the sprayer...?  If you unscrew the part where the steam comes out, you may find that yours has an 'aromatherapy' piece (which is actually just a round ring of cloth) that you can soak in any scented oils and then it makes the steam smell good.

NEVER put anything in the water, though.  It will cause the machine to 'spit' hot water/steam on your client, or could cause the glass holding the water to burst!
