Cynthia,
I just got an account with Skin Scripts...I have not tried the products yet. What do you think about the line? I currently use Image Skin Care, but I like that Skin Scripts have some products that really indulge the senses (or it seems--by the names of them).
I just started using Skin Scripts, so i am still getting a feel for all of it. I heard moslty good reviews is why I thought I would give them a try. The company itself seems helpful, good customer services, and free training. Their prices are reasonable as well. I will let you know once I get more hands on with the products
Thanks.
Thank you I just received a few samples. I am excited to try it out
For your client, I would work her up to the cranberry turnover peel by doing the following in 2-week increments:
-1st session pomegranate enzyme w/ steam
-2nd session mix 50/50 coconut enzyme+ cranberry turnover peel w/light steam
-3rd session mix 50/50 pomegranate enzyme + cranberry turnover peel NO steam
-4th session full strength cranberry turnover peel NO steam
-5th session full strength cranberry turnover peel NO steam
-6th session lemon zest enzyme w/ steam to brighten up breakout areas
At home she should be using the glycolic/retinol pads and an effective retinol serum (SS does not offer retinol in a serum). Based on her age, she also needs an acne-safe moisturizer in the mix (I am not very familiar with SS's moisture options) and of course a good SPF.
As for general SS info... we use all the enzymes and masks in our backbars, and after attending a local training, have started carrying a few select items on the retail shelf. The enzymes really are helpful in incrementally adjusting the outcome of treatments - for example, my client who usually gets 70% lactic peels with SA spot treatment on her dark spots wanted to go a little milder this time because she was traveling. I used a 30% lactic, but wasn't getting any flushing at all. I bumped it up by layering a Skin Script enzyme, and got just what I was looking for. I like that versatility, and having something I can go to when I need to make adjustments.
Another time I like to use them is when I dermaplane, especially since I don't do the whole nose. Adding a mild enzyme and some steam after dermaplaning ensures that the exfoliation level is even, and softens clogs for extraction.
Finally, I really like the Strawberry Spearmint and Goji masks. I can use the strawberry on acne clients whose skin is too dry for my vivant sulfur mask, and the goji if there is any redness/sensitivity that I want to calm down. The texture of the goji also works great under microcurrent and skin spatula on permeation mode.
The retail products I selected are the two eye products, the glycolic/retinol pads, and the cucumber toner. I'll be adding the retinol scrub on my next order. I wasn't crazy about their vitamin C, and I already had hydropeptide products that I like more than their peptide options.
Wow this is great thank you for all this information. I really appreciate your time and help
I got the professional and retail samples to try them. I liked a few of the products, but most I wouldn't use. I haven't tried the peels yet, but I have tried everything else, retail and professional. That's the way to go, get the sample packs and go from there.
Thank you I am going to check the webinars out. Great idea !
i watched two of the webinars. They were very helpful, thank you for the suggestion =)
Little bit of research online and found that "A broad spectrum antibiotic such as oxytetracycline (500 mg twice daily) or doxycycline (100mg once daily) sould be sufficient enough, long term therapy maybe required. benefits are optimum after 4-6 weeks. " Source- Y! Answers
