How to pick the best skin care line????? does anyone test professional lines?

I have done lots of research on different companies. the problem is, unless you know ingredients like the back of your hand, its hard to tell.

is their a company that tests and rates professional lines? if not , how do we tell?

So, where can I find all of the actual ingredients to these Nerium products?

Try this:

Well said, as a licensed cosmetologist and aesthetician with 40 years industry experience, I have NEVER seen a product deliver real results like Nerium. I too was reluctant to get involved but I agreed to try the product and within 2 weeks I saw real results, the proof is in the mirror. I have had fillers and this is better.

Donna

Now you did it: ;))

Like I said, "your out of your mind". :))

I get that we all have our favorites, etc, and some may even come from MLMs. I actually have clients that swear by Avon or Mary Kay.  Who am I to tell anyone any product is 'crap'?  No matter what I may know or believe, all any of us can do is give our best advice based on what we know, and let people choose for themselves what they want to use.  If someone want to use (or sell) Nerium, that is his/her perrogative.  If it truly is 'crap' (and I have no idea one way or another, I never even heard of it until a it was disccussed previously on this forum), then people will figure it out on their own and come to us for help.  Then, we can offer our fix.  I have have numerous former ProActiv clients who now come for acne treatments.  If I had told them when they started using it it was 'crap', I would have simply offended them.  I can offer my opinion, "I'm not sure that's best for you," but if they want to try it, nothing I say is going to stop that.  Just my 2 cents.

Thank you!  I'm a student and learning!  I'm doing my research and I was excited about it because I saw first hand results from friends, so I was thrilled.  I'm doing my own research right now and to be called "out of your mind" and thrown under the bus...is disheartening about the industry.  My belief is you "don't know what you don't know".  Thus me asking for data/details so I can learn...to others...thank you for the life lesson!

God Bless you!

Donna

Very good. You have guts. You have character strength. To admit that and come back and say that... (re: new student)

:)) Amazing!

What you are reading is 'PASSION' and where there is passion there is emotion. You will get it, trust me. But your character is above par and I have no doubt based on that character you will be very successful.

If you are talking about Nerium, feel free to go on my website and read all the facts, scientific studies, and feel free to contact me with any other questions about this subject! I would love to help in this matter! Nerium, just like any other product, may not be for everyone! You have to find what works for you! This is why most spas carry more than one product line!

Jodi-

I didn't say Donna was crap, I said the product is. And so is Mary Kay and Avon. And I'm not talking to clients, I'm speaking with my peers, other estheticians who understand product and ingredient knowledge. You're right about not disparaging other lines to my clients but rather, educating them. This is what I do as well. But it doesn't change the fact that product lines that hide their ingredients, or fill them to the brim with cheap junk and then slap a fancy price tag on it and call it some super amazing new thing are scamming us. I have more respect for Clean and Clear who use junk ingredients but price them appropriately.

This Nerium stuff...it's $100 a month. That's $1200 a year! And it's auto shipped! I stand by my statement...it's crap. Over-priced miracle in a bottle scam.

Sorry if it offends but there's nothing I can do about anyone's feelings on the matter. When my clients switch product because they're doing favors for their friends who want to MLM...it sets my work back.

Um, I haven't even read beyond your 1st sentence yet, because I reread mine and it says...'who are we to tell anyone any PRODUCT is crap'.  I said nothing about anyone saying any person is crap.  Now I'll read the rest.

OK, I did.  And you missed my point.  Carry on.

I was (poorly) expressing that I'm not attacking her, just the product. Sorry for miscommunicating.

And your point was that clients come back anyway because we provide the services/technique that's gets results which these lines don't offer. Which I agree with however I was making the point that we should be free to have opinions on product if they're based on our professional expertise.

We can express them, I just think it can be more respectful, that's all.  It may be 'crap' but to tell that to someone (pro or otherwise) who believes in it, well that is rude.  Just my 2 cents.
