Hi! So, I've recently learned to do Brazilian waxing. I'm a recent graduate and didn't do much of this kind of waxing in school. I've got my service down to 30 minutes and feel like I'm doing a great job, but would love any tips from you all! Thank you in advance!

I think you can do better than 30 Min ,  have you heard of the Wax chick, waxing queen Lori   just an example of the educators   , wax chick holds classes  she is in California  take a few classes and you should be able to be faster than that

It's up to you whether you are comfortable doing this, but I HIGHLY recommend investigating who is you local wax queen and going and having brazilian waxes with that person.  Preferably on an ongoing basis, as you will build trust and probably get some pointers.  These days you can use Yelp to get a lot of info on who is famous for which services, and what their style is like.

Hi Christine

I have trained with  the Wax chick, Stephanie of   smooth supply (7 Min Brazilian wax) and Lori

with their hands on classes you come out feeling super confident with a certificate

Hi Stephanie

Hi Magdalen!! :)

Christine  you wont regret  if you do the Boot  camp with Stephine I am the Wax person in my area to go to,  without here and the others I mentioned I would still be struggling  since none of what they teach is taught in school  Christine these women know their thing I suggest you invest  read some of my reviews on my website   www.magalenspureskincare,biz  , and I flew to their training from Maryland to California

I will actually go once more to one of their training I dont know when  just to pick up some more techniques

Im so glad I saw this! I am still in school but are not focusing enough on the Brazilian.  Def gonna watch you videos but was wondering ho you feel about sugar wax?  I have head that it is more gentle than hard wax.

Hey Jolene, I have been using the Sugaring technique (not sure if that's what you mean by sugar wax) for brazilians for about 4 years.  Some clients LOVE it and say they will never return to being waxed traditionally, and some clients HATE it, claiming it hurts far worse.

Personally, I find that my skin fairs better with sugaring, and I have little to no ingrowns.  It's easier to perform on yourself than traditional wax,  because of the fact that you're flicking with the direction of growth, and sugar tends to be forgiving.

But, as far as on clients, I've branched out into using hard wax, and I do like it.  It's pretty gentle.  I definitely want to take some additional classes, as everything I've learned has been by experiment and researching the internet.

I personally use strip wax, Amber Rose Wax to be specific and I love it. I've had sugaring done on me but never have used it on a client. I've heard it's gentle but takes a lot longer. As does hard wax. I know hard wax is usually usbut e during Brazilians but I love my wax.

I feel like Sugaring is faster, but it might just be that I've practiced so much.  Some of my clients are in and out in under 15 minutes.  I've also noticed that a lot of clients experience less regrowth with Sugaring.

I'm not sure what the obsession with speed is though...I would rather be thorough than fast, and I've had quite a few clients tell me they appreciate how thorough I am.

thanks for the replies!

I had heard sugaring is faster.  Did not know you were to pull in direction of the hair.  Kim is there a specific brand you use or do you make it yourself?  Taylor where do you get the Amber Rose?
