How to pick the best skin care line????? does anyone test professional lines?
I have done lots of research on different companies. the problem is, unless you know ingredients like the back of your hand, its hard to tell.
is their a company that tests and rates professional lines? if not , how do we tell?

Not for me it isn't. :) Because there is so much white noise and so many lines all with so many different theories I do not do as most do.
If a user questions why I have done something I go and get the medical proof and give it to them. I let them (professionals) then decide if what I have given is proof enough for them.
Too many lines are built on 'Trust' - ing a single person who calls themselves a 'Master Esty' or ? But the truth is, the only thing that matters, at least as I see it :) , is what has been proven and documented in peer review journals and medical books.
Let me state this another way: The study of 'Percutaneous Absorbtion' is such a complicated subject that basically there is only one landmark case to represent this process and its effacy within the skin and the FDA. The product is Rogaine.
If you have not done any research on the topic maybe consider it... It is a fascinating read and one that will truly open the eyes to skin care and what is real vs illusion / marketing.

Marty, I have no knowledge outside of a liberal arts degree, but I do read a lot of textbooks, medical journals, and esthetic journals. I agree with you. I get so tired of asking questions like "Why did you decide to use this ingredient" and have people stare at me like a deer in the headlights. I get patronized a lot when I bring up ingredients that are carcinogenic but in lots of skincare lines. When I ask questions at trade shows or even in school, it wasn't to get the teacher/presenter in hot water. I wanted to LEARN. I know it's frustrating. I get that too. I am going to review your line. It sounds like it would be a good fit for me.

Thank you. Anything I can do to help let me know. Samples or phone call to discuss protocols and how I treat skin types, even if you don't take on my line I will help you in any way I can and maybe with that additional help you will be in a great spot.
But I would like to offer this to you: A LOT of lines are private label and or very close to it and I would have the opinion that that is why you are having the issues you are having when you ask questions.
I am asked questions during class and discussions and to date I have never been able to shut down some of the well educated estys trying to, well, keep me on my toes. :))

That's hilarious! Show me one place online where you can find Nerium's ingredients. Any "line" (which Nerium's is NOT) where I have to call and get an ingredient list is not standing behind its products! I can't even believe the irony here!
Nerium's "oleander" ingredient is super low dose POISON. It does not heal skin. Dr. Newman did not cure cancer with it! Its not a one-size-fits-all miracle product. What it does do is cause mild allergic reactions after a couple months of use. Well past the 1 month return policy and after you've dished out several hundred dollars for the product. Which is garbage. And that rash you get, oh that's just toxins expelling from the skin. (Right!).
Okayyy...I'm just going to stop before I get worked up but I've got a mile long list of issues with his company. One of which is the super obnoxious MLM selling style that results in posts like this! :((((((

You do not need to buy an entire product line. I did alot of research on this. You need to look specifically at the product itself and what services you intend to offer.
In my opinion, IMAGE skincare line based in Florida, provides a business friendly approach to help you introduce products at a reasonable cost. They also have test kits that you pass on to clients for FREE. I find their customer service department very helpful as well for answering any ingredients in products and also for problems with clients skin in general.
I have about 4 different exfoliator cleansors for different skin types as well. You can purchase many products in bulk at the conventions for a great price.
