I am wondering if anyone has a solution to the larger steamers.  I have used and then stopped using due to constant build up of bacteria caused by the moisture.  I have tried several steamers but have not been impressed or truly satisfied with any steamer.  Any thoughts?

Bump.  I am looking for a steamer, large or small, and just want some suggestions!

Just using steamed towels? Cleaning out steamer with vinegar and only using distilled water.. I'm not a huge fan of any steamer either! I find myself using less and less unless clients really want.

I actually prefer the tabletop steamers.  Expect to pay around $60.  They feel more stable to me, plus I love not having to do much cleanup with them.  The caveat is they do wear down quicker than a more solid piece of equipment - I've gotten 2 years out of one, but that is the absolute max.

Do you mind me asking where did u get table top Christine? Two years for $60 and solid sounds good deal to me

Sure, the Satin Smooth brand have treated me best.  I now have 4 esthetic rooms, so I've been through all sorts of different equipment :)

I am in the market for a new steamer, and am looking for a table top kind.  Have you ever felt the need to have the arm extend? I was looking at one online that has an attachment to extend the arm.  @Adrienne and @Christine, what are your thoughts on this? Thank you!

I got one of the Satin Smooth tabletop models but am having a problem getting the steam distributed over the clients face. The arm is not very long so clients have told me they only felt steam on one side. My old long armed steamer is still good but SO BULKY in my little treatment room. The ozone on the tabletop model is nice but I have yet to find a way or table where I can adjust the height and have it be small enough to be better than my old steamer.
