Just curious about what order you do your facials.  At what point do you dermafile?  use ultrasonic spatula?  Peels and when you do these, do you still do facial massage?

I have been working in a spa that only really did foo foo facials (however u spell that), mostly pampering, not so much treatment.  I am forgetting how to perform a good treatment that actually has results.

Thanks

Jodie, I suggest you follow protocols that the product line you use suggests. Peels protocols are important to follow per product line.  When you become comfortable with a line and its protocols, you will re-gain the confidence to do great facials.

The way I think about it is that certain steps (deep cleanse, massage with steam to soften comedones, exfoliation of any kind, and extractions) are meant to "break down" the excessive corneocytes, while other steps (LED light, ultrasonic permeation of active ingredients, masks, massaging in an active treatment, microcurrent, etc.) are meant to "build up" the health of the skin.  I like treatments that have a healthy balance of those two principles.  I find as long as the "break down" phase happens first and the "build up" phase happens afterward, there is some flexibility of those modalities within their respective phases (especially the "build up" phase).  So you might decide to do: cleanse with steam/enzyme/ultrasonic cavitation/extractions and then mask/ultrasonic permeation/massage with antioxidant serum/LED light; but you could just as easily make your second phase be: LED light/ultrasonic and/or massage with serum/apply mask over serum.  Hope that helps!
