Anybody Else feel Like this?

So, It's the Midwest Beauty Show next weekend and I was reviewing my brochure to see who all was going to be there to make sure I stopped by the booths I wanted to stop by. I have to say I was HUGELY disappointed in seeing SEVERAL MLM brands there. What is the heck is happening to our field? Is there something I am missing?

I seen this also and was not happy about it! I did not see the answer to your question on here Amy about "what is happening to our field and if we are missing something?".

I have also noticed a huge influx of new Esty's who are becoming increasingly negative and downright nasty to others. I'm not sure what that's about. There are enough clients to go around.

Amy & Kim I am curious how the show actually went? Did you find anything new? I worked that show a few years ago and I was disappointed with how small it was!

There were some interesting things there. But I don't really feel like I was getting a full showing of what I needed. I couldn't even get into several of the booths and I was there on Saturday.

I guess I just feel like we, as professionals, really need more than this. I want some actual training classes and some good, roll up your sleeves, let's work it out information, along with what works for other people and I want to be able to compare what other people are doing. I would LOVE to be able to talk to certain product lines and I loved that they were there! I don't know...I'd rather have a more relaxing weekend where I learn something, compare notes with other esty's and get some actual skills.

Don't get me wrong! If you're just starting out, it's wonderful and I do stock up, but I just felt like it could be better. I am tired of the MLM stuff.

It was in Vegas show, too! Have been seeing this for the last 3 years and vow to not go as often as a result. However, I do have favorite vendors and the education is awesome and stay away from MLM's from the get go. We as professionals should know better. The tradeshows are making money off vendors, what do they care ?
