I also gave her samples of the Ageless Hydrating Serum and the Vitamin C Green Tea Serum.

She is trying to decide what to purchase and is asking some questions I am not sure about and could use some input.

She is African American/Puerto Ricon.

She asks... "Do the retinol pads and the retinol scrub do the same thing?  I feel like the serums make my face oily so I've only been using them at night."

I didn't think that the serums would make your skin oily.  Has anyone else had this result?

I've used the retinol scrub and the retinol pads and I know they are not the same but what is a good way to explain that to the client?

Thanks everyone :)\

Hi Kristy:

The retinol scrub is a mechanical exfoliation to polish the skin and help break-up impacted pores (blackheads).  The glycolic/retinol pads are treated as a toner after the retinol scrub and is a stay-on product.  The glycolic/retinol pads have the lighteners kojic and arbutin and will help lift pigmentation.  So ... I like both.  The retinol scrub to mechanical exfoliate and the glycolic/retinol pads after for a little more exfoliation, but the benefit of brightening the skin.

Regarding the serums making the skin feel oily, that is not usual, but everyone responds to products differently.  You could try the Light Aloe Moisturizer instead of the serums (just a pea-sized amount).

I look forward to other's opinions as well.

Thanks!  Lisa

Thank you so much Lisa! :)
