Hard wax getting gummy

So I just tested my Satin Smooth Mojito hard wax on my forearm and no matter what I did or how long I waited, the wax stayed super tacky and gummy. I was able to get a couple strips off but I tried one last time on the other forearm and it stuck to my skin! I tried cooling the wax off more, but it still keeps doing the same thing. I have used this wax in the past with no problems, could this just be defective?

I hope you have found a solution to your wax problem by this point, but I have had similar situations with Satin Smooth hard wax when it is humid out. I keep the air conditioning on in my room continuously, and I have no problems. I'm in Indiana where the weather can't decide what it wants to do hour by hour.
