Good afternoon ladies,
I started school next week in Florida for the facial specialist program (260H) at a state college while other school might have offer more hours but was extremely expensive or were 260H and still charged an arm and a leg. I am excited and nervous in this new adventure in my life. I know every states hour varies and I am going to need to take continuing education. Any advice on how to make the best of things while I am in school? I already know from researching online and reading forum, it can be tough to get in the field.
Thanks

Thank you Jessica! I really appreciate your kinds words. That was the only thing I was not sure about was job placement, since it just Palm Beach State College I know they have a career center but I don't know if they have one dedicated for the Cosmetology program and in the orientation I didn't catch if they did offer job placement since I was so far in the back. I have love skin care for a long time, I just never knew the what I could do with that passions get into a LONG, LONG time ago (in my 20s), but I would also read Comso, Allure on the latest creams, serums, and mask and buy want I could and know that I am going to be 42 I want to take much better care of my skin, and help others based on my skin changes.
I am trying to but together my plan of attack if there is not a job placement service, since I know it can take a while to build of clientele before trying to branch out on your own. I just don't want to be in a situation where I finish school and take CEs classes and not in the field at all. The part I am most nervous about is waxing and makeup, since I don't where a lot of makeup and waxing because I don't want to screw someone's eyebrows up :)
But I look forward to learning a lot. Thanks for your input again, it really meant a lot :)
