I could really use some advice. I have been a Master Esthetician for 6 years now, but have been out of the industry/out of practice for quite a while. I am wanting to work in the industry again very badly. I don't feel confident enough with my skills to get a job right now. I have taken a couple classes, and plan to take more. The only problem is I don't have any clients to practice on after I take it, so I kind of forget what I learned. I am willing to work for free and do whatever it takes to get me back to where I feel confident. I have thought about asking spa's for an internship and telling them I would do whatever is asked of me, in return of some hands on training. What is every one's opinions on the best way to get a job in the industry again? Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated!

Why not try giving free facials to family members and friends until you build back your skins

Depending on your location, there are chains available that I do believe will train you and get you on your way back into the business. Seems like it would be a great way to get training, experience, and build up your confidence again until you are ready to go a new direction (or stay on with the chain if it works out well for you!).

Examples:

Hand and Stone - http://www.handandstonecareers.com/

Massage Envy - http://www.massageenvycareers.com/

Ulta - http://careers.ulta.com/jobs/jobs-search

Or search Esthetician job postings and see if you come across a company who is willing and ready to train the right person.
