This may be repeated since I know I posted this but I can't find it anywhere. I am therefore reposting this question in case it did not actually post the first time.

I have 2 clients using Pevonia retinal line. One for severe milia and one for scarring due to acne as a kid. Both love it but want to try skin scripts. Which home care products would you recommend? I'm new to skin scripts. Thank you

Hi Patricia:

The first time you sent a message to the group and there was no way to reply to your message, so that's why you didn't get an answer.

For acne scarring, I have attached a protocol that has worked well for me.

For milia, I suggest the Ageless Skin Hydrating Serum used twice a day, everyday, for 8 weeks.  This explanation is probably way more than you wanted, but it helps you understand the root cause of milia.

Milia:  We have bi-layers in our skin.  They are made up of oil and water.  We’re supposed to have the proper balance of oil and water among our skin.  A lot of us are walking around with not enough water in our skin.  One reason is we don’t drink enough water to get enough water from our dermis.  Another reason is that we live in a dry environment where there could be a lot of trans-epidermal water loss.  Think about the “main” area you see milia – it’s the eye area, right?  It’s thin tissue/skin and trans-epidermal water loss could be great in those areas.  If we walk around with a lack of water in our skin, the oil will start to crystallize into milia.

We have the Ageless Skin Hydrating Serum.  Number 1 – it is a hyaluronic acid serum to bind more water topically.  It also has an ingredient called sphinolipids – this ingredient will bind or emulsify the oil and water in our skin to create a bond to hold more water to create that proper balance of oil and water.

If your client has milia, have her start using the Ageless Skin Hydrating Serum morning and night.  The next time you see your client (hopefully 4 weeks later), the milia should be much easier to extract.  The next time you see your client (a total of 8 weeks later), the milia should begin to resolve itself and go away.

This Ageless Hydrating Serum also works great for acneic skin.  We have natural enzymes (glycosidase and proteases) among our skin cells that that break apart desmosomes to allow for the natural shedding of our skin cells.  If we are walking around with low water among our skin cells, we are going to have cells that stick together and not desquamate, hence acne or excess keratinization.  I believe one of the first and foremost jobs as an estheticians is to kick in the natural exfoliation rate and that will include the Ageless Hydrating Serum.

Hope this helps!

Oh, to the group? I don't understand how I did that but I'll learn. : )
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your information. Way more than I could have ever hoped for! If it's not too much to ask..... I'd like help with another person.... Pretty please?
A young woman, my daughter, 28 years old. Dry skin, with lots of breakouts. Not pimples, just the kind that appear and don't do anything. She believes her skin is combination and likes to use scrubs, yet I believe it's dry. She does not ever, have oily patches, not even t-zone. She was told she has Rosacea, possibly but I'm not so sure. No redness until she has an alcoholic beverage, not even a whole drink.
any ideas?

Hi Patricia.  That does sound like rosacea, but it will take a physician to diagnose rosacea.  I am also hearing a possible impaired acid mantle and dehydrated skin so let's repair the acid mantle.  I would recommend the following for homecare:  Pomegranate Cleanser. Retinol Scrub used gently 2-3 times per week, Cucumber Toner, Ageless Hydrating Serum and Vit C/Green Tea Serum, Acai Berry Moisturizer and SPF.  For professional treatments, I would proceed with Coconut enzyme treatments for hydration.  The pimples you describe sound like papules.

Please consider visiting Tempe for our 2-day SkinTensive class where you will learn these types of issues and how to treat them.  The next one is September 14 & 15 and it's free!  It's an investment in your career.  Just pay for your travel.

Thank you Lisa, I can't wait to get started. My products should arrive in a couple more days. I would love to come but that will have to wait alittle longer, maybe in the new year. In the meantime I will be viewing every webinar you offer! I am so excited to try my new products, and to learn as much as I can.
I just read the course description on the SkinTensive training and I definitely need and would love this! Thank you for the suggestion.
Hi Lisa, goodness I feel like you are my very own personal skin care "fairy". My milia client wants to purchase a while at home regime. Could I trouble you to add suggestions for the cleanser and moisturizer as well as the ageless skin hydrating serum for morning and night. I promise to learn everything I can about this line so I'm not asking you these questions everytime. I must admit, I feel a bit like a teenager cheating on a test when I ask you this. : )

Hi Patricia:  I would use Green Tea Cleanser for normal combination skin and Pomegranate Cleanser for normal to dry skin as a primary cleanser.  Then, I would use the Glycolic Cleanser and Retinol Scrub 2-3 times per week.  Follow with Cucumber Toner, Ageless Skin Hydrating Serum, appropriate weighted moisturizer and spf.  If you want to learn more about the products, please visit http://www.skinscriptrx.com/skinscript101 to register for our interactive product knowledge software.  It's free and very comprehensive!  Thanks!

Terrific, thank you for getting my two clients started on their homecare! I hope to be open in a couple of weeks so yes, I will go to the 101 webinar and all of your webinars! I can't wait to grow using skin scripts. Have an awesome day!
Hi Lisa, I see that skin scripts will be at the philidelphia show. Will you be there both days? I'll also saw on the Facebook events pages that you guys came to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Will you be up this way again?

Hi Patricia:  Yes, we will be at the Philly show!  I will be there both days.

In the past we traveled and provided hands-on training in various cities.  However, I wore myself out with all the travel.  This year we developed Skin Script 101, which is the interactive software that you can learn product knowledge from anywhere on your laptop, tablet, phone or computer.  I realize it's not the same as hearing it live, but it's probably more comprehensive!  I look forward to seeing you at the Philly show.

Yes, I am thrilled about the 101 webinar, I feel it's easier because I can go back to it and learn something new each time. I just didn't want to miss any classes you may have had at the show. : ) See you in philli.

The 101 webinar is Great!!  I recommend it to all Great job Lisa!
