I was using a handheld micro current device (Time Master) on a client and noticed an involuntary movement on her brow and then again on her lip so I discontinued and continued her treatment with the BioT.

Has anyone experienced this?

Is this normal?  Doesn't happen with my BioT Gold.

Yes I've had that happen along the hairline, outer eye area and around the mouth...it's normal. I just turn down the setting around those areas.
I have seen it happen also. It's scary when you first see it. But totally normal, the client didn't express any discomfort?
You should do more research on Microcurrent. The training I've taken says muscle contraction should not happen in the face. If it's happening then you're using a device that is emitting too much current.

Microcurrent is acting like a stimulator for muscles. It happens to create spasms if is to high for the client. Just lower the setting, else may become unpleasant and the next day the client to have muscle fever in those areas. Around the eyes and lips may be unpleasant (I did that on myself and I know first hand how unpleasant may be)

If you add more of your conducting gel that usually solves the problem for me.

I believe the Time Master Also uses Radiofrequency which is probably what is causing the muscle contractions. True microcurrent at the appropriate microamp (500 or less) shouldn't cause contraction. Hope that helps!
