Broward County Florida Esthetician (waxing specialist)

Good morning everyone,

First, I am so excited to have found this message board!

I am a licensed esthetician from Florida and am getting started on my own.  Do any of you know of a place besides Craig's List where I might find someone to rent space with?  My business is ready to go, I just need a home!  The price for salon suites that are available for rent are astronomical.   There have to be other people besides me who are looking for a home and not break the bank.  Do you have any idea where I might be able to get in contact with other folks like me who are looking?

This has been the single most frustrating part of getting my business started.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I rent space, but I am in the Boca Raton area.  If your want to stay in the vicinity you are in, I suggest going into every hair salon nearby. Have a resume and business card in hand.  You never know, the owner may have a room available, or may even have someone there part time, but needs to find an adtitional person.  Hair salons also have traffic, so you can try to acquire new clients.

European wax centers are always hiring, as are Massage Envy's , but they don't pay very well but may be good for starters.

Thank you!  that's a great suggestion!.  I worked at EWC for a while and I would totally agree.  Pay is not good and they will work you to death.

I'm happy to report I found a wellness center who just so happened to have a room for rent and I'm starting on March 29!
