Hello skin-pro-world!

Is there an Electrologist who can share insight?

I am looking to get trained so I can add this service to my skincare practice, however it's at least $10 grand for training and equipment; any ideas you can share would be awesome!

Hello. Electrology is a great field. Depending on your state, it's either 600 hours or 1100 hours of training. My daughter & I are in business together. 70% of our business is Electrolysis & IPL 30% are Facials, peels, and microdermabrasion. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you!  I may have questions for you. Just haven't decided yet. :)

Hi there, I am an electrologist and esthetician in CA/NV. I decided to go into electrolysis after working in a spa setting and seeing that EVERYONE has unwanted facial hair (I thought I was the only one). I'd had electrolysis on my upper lip and had great results. I'd also had laser, 6 treatments, on my underarms and got zero results. Anyway, I knew there was no way I could survive as a sole practitioner esthetician in my neighborhood, so I decided to go to school for electrolysis in 2010. It is now the bulk of my business, although I do still love the esthetics side too! Let me know if I can answer any questions for you!

Thank you!  I've decided to hold off and specialize in acne.  I've noticed some women at the spa I currently work have facial hair as well as acne.  It's apparently a hormonal condition so I see how I might combine these services in the future.

I can see doing the face but I don't think I have the patience for large areas. In that case this might not work for me.
