Did anyone else get over 1000 notifications from this forum that were all the same?!? Oh my gosh, I just spent over an hour deleting them one by one from my phone AND iPad and still have to get them off my computer!!!!!
I turned off all my notifications b/c I'm afraid it might happen again. :-P

Sorry Gina! Yes, we had a major problem on the site and have heard from several forum members about it. We think it has been sorted out now and we're still looking into exactly how it happened. Please let moderators know if you're still getting the emails or if you see any other problems.
wow... I was spared... this time !! anything we can do to increase security ? I have a Mac at work that usually doesn't allow crap like this but I have a PC at home, totally unprotected and my settings are very open on this forum? Any suggestions from the Master , I mean web-master, lol?
My Mac allowed them all through... but I guess it was the member who's return button got stuck... LOL!! I wondered if that was what happened with that!!!
I recieved 1600+  myself...got them all deleted...crazy!!

Just to provide some clarification - the problem wasn't a security issue, it was actually just a forum member's computer acting up (she asked that I express her apologies for any inconvenience it has caused you all, as well).  There was a problem with her computer that caused it to repeatedly post the discussion, but there is no security issue to be worried about in this case.

We have had some other spammers on the site posting a few discussions & blogs as Carrie mentioned, and we'll continue to actively monitor the forum to prevent them from posting their spam. Thank you all for your patience while we resolved this issue, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it has caused!

Yes! I caught them just as they were coming in early in the am and immediately disabled. Was not logging out~thanks ASCP for jumping on top of this right away!

You're very welcome Jami, we certainly don't want anyone to be receiving 1,000 emails from the forum!

Would you (or anyone else who got the emails) be able to forward me a copy of one of the email notifications you received?  The information in it can help us nail down the exact issue so we can prevent its future occurence.
