Who's going to IECSC in June? (Las Vegas)

I'm really looking forward to this conference! If you're planning to be there, as an exhibitor or an attendee, reply to this discussion. Maybe we can meet up in person. What events/sessions do you plan to attend?

Wow...I might just change my mind and go.. I was just there, in LV in April for a reunion so I wasn't too eager to return. I like the idea of meeting other estys from around the country as I usually go alone but manage to make friends there most of the time. ... As a veteran of these shows I strongly advise you to write down a schedule, with a map.. I have a system where I mark by interest, a meeting or lecture. Three stars is a must see, two stars a maybe...etc.. Some have a ? mark, just in case you walk into a seminar that was supposed to be education and is a sales pitch, you need to have plan B. I will follow this discussion.. I am looking for a new private label skin care line more than anything..so it might be worth going to LV, again.

I will depend on you , my fellow esties to tell me everything since I cannot make it this year. I want to know what the buzz is all about, what's new...etc. I am planning to attend the medical (derm.) meeting in New York in Oct. Enjoy, have fun and learn, but most of all get reenergized !!

I'm not going, but this is a good thing you're doing. To try to find out who is and if you can meet up.

I went a couple years ago by myself and it was so boring.

The convention was great and I went to a lot of classes, but after all that was done, I was on my own. And let me tell you, it's not fun being in vegas by yourself.

Oh, I've had a BLAST being in Vegas by myself, numerous times. If you can't have fun in Vegas, you probably can't have fun anywhere. :)

I understand about being boring if you're there by yourself!  I realize this is late notice, but I was thinking that Skin Script should host a happy hour one night so that people can gather and meet (and have someone to mingle with).  Possibly Saturday night?  Maybe around 6:30?  Does anyone have a hotel suite that might be large enough for a happy hour gathering?  Or is someone aware of a place that could provide a small happy hour gathering for us?  Since we would be on the floor until 6 pm, I would be looking for a person to arrange this?  Are there any event coordinators out there?  If anyone is interested, please call me at 480-543-1121 or e-mail me at lisa@skinscriptrx.com.  I make this invitation open to anyone and everyone as a setting to meet other people, not a sales job.

Good idea! The Las Vegas Hilton is the closest to the convention center, and they have several bars (http://www.lvhilton.com/Eat/Bars-Lounges) so maybe something there? If I don't see anything more about it here before I leave for Vegas, I'll give you a call when I'm at the show.

I went alone a few yrs ago & had a ball. I ended up hanging with some reps.
