Are you doing a trial first? When I do bridal work trials are mandatory. There is not enough time on the day of the wedding to make changes if the bride doesn't like what you do. Schedule a trial with enough time to get the look exactly how the bride wants it and then do it exactly that way on the wedding day. Make sure you are using products that will not crease or streak and that are HD photo ready. I suggest the use of a primer on the face and eyes, and a tube technology mascara. Ask the bride to look online, in magazines, etc and collect pictures of how she wants to look on her wedding day so you know how natural/dramatic she wants to be. Make sure she understands that the makeup will have to be more dramatic than everyday makeup since she will be photographed in different types of lighting and from a distance. Make sure the application of the base (foundation, concealer, contouring/highlighting, powder) are FLAWLESS because if the skin doesn't look good nothing else will look good. I like to do the base before anything else because if you do the shadow first, you could get a weird line of demarcation when you apply the base. But before you apply the shadow, tap some cornstarch under the eyes to catch any dark shadow, mascara, liner, etc that might flake off during the application of the shadow. Once you finish the eyes, just brush the cornstarch away with a powder brush. That's about all I can think of now...hope that helps.
Great tips... thanks Rachael! : ) Pilar* with Boho Skincare Boutique & Spa www.bohospa.com
