Well folks if you cannot find your favorite Dermalogica product at Walmart, you can also check with Sears!

It is my personal opinion that any professional who carries this line, should boycott until they get this line OUT of Walmart and Sears.  I do NOT buy the lame excuse that someone bought a WHOLE boatload of their products and are underselling themselves to get Dermalogica in these big box stores.

It is wrong to undercut the very professionals who have put Dermalogica where they are today.

Well I asked and that is what I got.....

Jan, that "BS" was not directed at you, but to whomever is making these incredibly LAME excuses.  I, in no way meant to offend you.  As someone said somewhere in this thread, Dermalogica themselves would be the likely seller to so large a retailer as a Walmart or a Sears.

Thanks Nondy... the rep is a friend of our manager and its very sad to think that she directly would lie to me. Do you think the reps are not made aware of this if this is what they did ?

I am starting my business again. After being out of it for 2 yrs. So I even though have been licensed for almost six yrs, Still feel like a newbie. I practiced for 2 yrs and had to quit. I used a nice spa line Plantogen. So I want something nice to make a difference. I am working at a beauty supply store right now. I work in the store part time and then can do skincare and waxing the other part of my time. It works out so great. They are partnered with Dermalogica. (I never liked it in esty school btw). But thought oh well they sell it so I will use it. and women come in the store and buy it like crazy.

I am free to use anything but not to retail it. Which is really dumb. If it was in the store I don't make commission either. So with that said... I want to use something else. Thats why I wondered about Glo cause the shop selling the make up. And the rep talked to me about the skin care. I really hate the confusion of all this!!

It saddens me if they have as u say sold out to us as professional !!! Seems to me all over with these skin care lines ! Same the the professional shampoos and conditioners out there on the drug store shelf s !

Jan :)

Well stated & I agree!

The reality is that Dermalogica or any other product line isn't going to say no to a $250,000.00 order. We can complain and be upset but we need to support professional lines and companies that support us the professionals!

Also, don't forget that Sears owns Kmart-can anyone say Blue Light Special!

Denise, you have a sense of humor.  Blue Light Special, indeed!

I am reading with interest as the information on this is coming in.

Does anyone know if we are talking about an isolated Sears or WalMart or are these professional products appearing as available in many...or is this, as I am imagining, appearing only on-line for these stores?

Dermalogica is selling on ebay and amazon.com. Can we compete with them? Heck no.

Personally I never understood whats so great about a PRO line that doesnt even offer chemical Peels but thats just my opinion.

I agree with Nondy, Private label is the way to go when it comes to retail.

Professional lines that are available only to Professionals are out there, they just harder to find because they do not advertise and you dont see them at shows.

Dont look for the big Company names...your clients dont care and neither should we. For the most part Ingredients are the same, treating the same conditions and skin types whether its from Pro line X or Pro line Z.

The big names have worn out their welcome. Time to look for fresh Brands

HI Sally,

My understanding is that there has been actual sightings at various Sears. One esthetician asked a Sears Associate if she could have assistance with these products or if she could speak with an esthetician...the associate just looked at her and said I don't know? Great to hear that not only is this line being sold in Sears but no one is available to answer questions!

I was speaking with a professional that works at a JcPenny's salon here in Miami and she said that is non-stop busy with a waiting list of about 3 weeks. I bring this up because if the products were in the salon -I could be a little more understanding but when products are lets say by the Craftsman tools it just makes a person go hmmmmmmm!!!!

I just went on Walmart.com and Dermalogica is available on that site. I'm not surprised thou. I don't consider that line exclusive or high end....never have really. Have you?

I have never been under the impression it was a 'quality' brand.
Don't believe eveything you read here.

There is no Dernalogica in Walmart nor sears.

Alac,

Have you checked their sites on line?  I have and I saw them for sale.
