I currently have BioElements and Skin Script in my treatment room.  Neither line seems to have an inflamation/911 product.  (Other than the colliodal oatmeal power from BE.)

Specifically, I have all kinds of skin drama with my own skin (most esthies do!) I have large areas of hyperpigmentation and an area of hypo-pig.  That hypo area gets extremely red and inflamed at the slightest sideways glance.

I did the SS Lactic lightening peel on most of my face yesterday 9nice!), avoiding the odd-ball area.  I did however get enthusiastic and used the gly/retinol prep on that area.  Today I am feeling sunburnt & looking red/

So... it made me realize, I really don't have a retail or backbar product for this kind of situation.  Do you have a retail calm-down product?  I imagine this kind of serum or cream could work for the really sensitive waxing clients.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Hey Julia check out 302 Professional skin care they have a great ointment for breakouts trauma due to surgery and burns. My clients love it!

Dermalogica has a toner in the Ultra Calming Line - Ultra Calming Mist which is a great product for reducing redness, calming and soothing. I used it for post wax and it was terrific. It was also great for retail.

Hi Julia :)

the best product I have found is from Peace Spa and it is their Anti Oxidant Skin Recovery Mask. It is amazing! It is a professional only product so if you needed it for a client you would have to give them a little sample jar of it. 1 of my kids is extremely fair skinned and last summer he got a wicked sunburn on his face. I slathered on a good layer of it and he slept with it on (imagine convincing a 9 year old boy to sleep with stuff on his face! haha) but in the morning there wasnt even the slightest hint of pink (and he was so RED when I applied it). I use in in the tx room if a client is getting red and even in 15-20 minutes it is toned down dramatically. gloTherapeutics has a hydrocortisone product that retails super cheap and smells pretty good too.

Hi Julia not sure if you have not found the product your looking for I recommend trying PCA Apre's Peel Soothing Balm. It's recommended for post peel and I also use it after facial waxing. Soothing and has a wonderful smell.

Thank you to everyone for your product recommendations - this has been very interesting.  I have requested wholesale information from several of these companies.

Thanks!

Julia

Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts offers a Post Peel Balm. It's a simple formulation that helps the skin heal. Great for post-micro and jessner, but has many practical uses for glycolic, lactic, salicylic...

After a peel if the client's a little pink - perhaps over-exfoliated in certain areas it can be applied over that area. It's also great after a brow/lip wax, before the peel to help prevent peel penetration and over-exfoliation of those areas. The backbar size is 5oz and the client take-homes care currently only $1.50 for a 0.25oz.

Thanks, Katie.  I will look into that product line - I haven't heard of them.

I appreciate a true affordable product.  I think it is funny when I get a price list from an "affordable" line and I think the w/s prices seem like retail!

Thank you.

Julia

Rhonda Allison skin care has several great post-peel items, including balm, hydrocortisone and arnica cream. Everything is naturally derived. Good luck!

i like antiqua prima's tranquilare mask.  great after salicylic acid peel and takes the redness out after waxing.  i use the backbar size.....but you could retail it as well.
