please tell us about you & what your lash community could use improvement on...

Welcome!! I would love to hear how long you have been doing lashes & if you have taken advaced courses? Feel free to send this groups to LE's that might like to add this service to their menu :)

My biggest problem here in UT is a lower scale of lash quality & it takes them 2.5 hrs.for a set... I've found that bad glue and slow seperating technique is a problem. What do you think your community has trouble with?

Great! I'm an educator too! I love www.premierlash.com. The owner has amazing skills & development. Very high quality. He is expanding to a school, retail & main headquarters in down town Salt Lake City, UT just in a few weeks. I'll be certified through his company shortly. He and I have been developing the curriculum. We will offer internships at premier lash salons & spa's. Exciting stuff! The biggest thing to look at is quality of products & glues especially. Extend you lash, another lash company, trained everyone here in UT county to use their tweezers upside down & backwards! It takes their "trained" people 2.5-4hrs to do lashes! It should only take 1-1.5! Scary stuff... xtreme lash is goods but premier is the majority supply to all of them and is the one who develops the lashes. If you know of more interested people or can get a group of 6 or more together I can get a great deal on education & hotel stay for you? Let me know:) you can also see great pic through google but I also recommend looking on you tube for lash mess ups... you can glue someones eye shut. It is surgical glue. You do apply one extensions per natural lash. Lash extension sizes are very important because they can way down the lash too much. Also shaping is huge. We at promise are for the natual look including shaping & highlighting. Let me know what other questions you have. Great talking to you! Have a great day!
Can you tell me more about how much training you get and the cost. Thanks :)

Price is definitely determined by location. I know of classes in the East that cost thousands! Here in Utah I charge from $200 (not including your start up kit)for an advanced 4 hour class to $800 for the basic education class. Where abouts are you located? Do you need some help in finding a good price for your community or are you interested in yourself?
I do offer Hotel discounts for travelers too :)
Hi!  I am a certified Xtreme Lash stylist and have been working with their products since 2007.  I love this company because they have the best hands-on training and their application and retail products are the best quality.  They are constantly updating their techniques for applying and coming out with better formulations of adhesives.  I find that in my area, there are a lot of "lash extensions" being done that are not true lash extensions.  They are cluster lashes and never look as nice as the individually applied ones.
Crystal- thanks for joining! With the cluster lashes are they doing them on top of the lashes? Or clustering their extensions? Do you find many L.S. that have advanced training? Where abouts are you from?
Hi, I am using Lash beLONG and it was offered at the school I was going to but there wasn't very much hands on training. I live on the East coast and it is not a really big demand but it is slowly becoming more popular. I would really like some tips, tricks or advice about application or advertising or about webinars available. thx

I use Xtreme and am just about to take their Advanced Certification class this March. I have been using them since 2006.  Lash extensions are hugely popular here in Atlanta, GA but there are a ton of BAD applications here!  I am fixing a lot of bad lash jobs on clients who have looked for cheap prices. They get what they pay for.  My only problem is that I am slow.  I can't seem to shorten my lash app time.  I have a cyst in my left wrist and I think it really slows down my fine motor skills with separating the lashes.  My clients always say my lashes last longer than any other extensions they have received from other LS.

Sorry to hear about your cyst. Definitely check out holistic medicine for help curing that. The best way to speed things up is your glue choice. Premier lash has the best glue of every company I've tried. That's great your fixing lashes. I find it to be excellent advertising- ask them to do before and after pictures ;)

I will!  Thanks for the advice!

How much is your adhesive and what size bottle does it come in?

Premier bond flex glue is $90 for 5g - dries in 3-5 secs. Then wink sensitive dries w/in 5 secs for &$80! Great product- no client irritation or Lash specialist either! Tell Scott that I sent you;) another thing I do for speed is pulling the lashes from a tray & having my glue on the jade stone right next to it. Hope that helps a bit- Good luck!

Hi Cameo- can anyone buy Premiers glue or do you have to go through their training?

Anyone:) just need proof of certification to email/ fax to company. Just give them a call and they'll get you started- tell them Cameo sent ya ;)
