The Tadpole Brow - most common

If you don't know how to fix this brow, you are in trouble because this is the most common shape of the misshapen.

Kyong, I use Maybelline Expert brow pencils to demonstrate. (the pencil body is red) I don't offer Make up services either but would be curious to see what other Esty's use and recommend to retail.

Hi Kyong. I don't offer a line of makeup at this time nor do I have a referals for particularly great brow products. I will be interested to hear feedback.

Hi Kyong,

Fill in is an important part of your brow design, especially when your client's brows are sadly misshapen. Showing them what they "will" look like, let's them know that,

1. The shape they have is horrid, and that they should trust you

2. That you know what you are doing, and that they should trust you

If the client is hesitant to believe you when you say that a "balanced brow" would be so much more flattering, what I usually do is take my fill in pencil and do just one eyebrow, then hold a mirror up, putting my hand over the offensive brow so that they see only the balanced brow, then I switch so that they see only the "offensive" brow, then I show them both. By the time I'm done, they are on board for the "balanced brow". You can also, throw around some buzz phrases (that are true), "see how the balanced brow brings out your eyes and opens them up".

We have to remember that the majority of people that walk into our rooms have no idea what their brows are supposed to look like, that's what we are there for. AND we also need to remember that the majority of people doing brows, have no idea what they are supposed to look like, so we need to let our client's know that we know and that we can make them look even better.

Crickett, I love the idea of filling in (balancing) just one brow, covering the untended brow, to let them see what you have done and then reversing so that they then see the "unbalanced brow" while you cover the balanced brow... and finally showing both together. I will have to incorporate that. Great way to help the client see a more flattering option.
