So I have been experimenting with different waxing brands lately. Well at the midwest show I decided to try out Satin Smooth, I took the class they offered and it looked so easy but... I have been trying it on clients and I am not getting the same results, only in the Bikini area. It's not setting up hard, when it feels somewhat dry/tacky I go to pull and its stringy, soft. What am I doing wrong?

I do put down an oil before but wipe off any leftovers. When I apply it to my arms, it works great and does exactly what the class showed. Help...causing clients unneeded pain

It's hard to be patient sometimes in letting the wax set up.

The edges may feel tacky but the thicker areas are still soft.

I took training with one of the satin smooth educators and this one taught to apply the wax much thicker than you need to. And the bikini area is warm and definitely takes longer to set up than on the face or arm.

Take a little more time and see if that helps.

I like using the Berodin Blue - during warmer months I add a little Jet Set - which sets up much faster.

Iam such a FAN of the cirepil blue hard wax. I do not experiement with others since the Cirepil Blue is such a sure thing. It sets quickly and removes clean. I do use other soft waxes including Satin smooth.

Are you using the Calendula?  This wax has a tendency toward goopyness (is that a word)! LOL  Especially is the warmer areas of the body.  Too much oil and also cause some goopy action.  Just need a drop or two.  Also, if the wax isn't setting up, put a very, very light dusting of powder on top of it to help drying time.  Or try another wax. You want your wax to set up fairly quickly so that you can work quickly.  Time is money.
