I would like to try the enzymes and order a couple for getting started.  Having trouble deciding which 2 would be a good start for majority of clients. Pomegranate and coconut Papaya?  Or Raspberry peach?

Through the training offered online I heard that the coconut is pretty universal but my first order went out before I trained so I purchased the pomegranate and pumpkin.   Most of my customers are looking for anti-aging services.  I do like the lemon zest very much but I don't have enough traffic for its shorter shelf life.  I plan to order the coconut soon because I am picking up a couple of customers with a little more sensitive skin.  I like the raspberry too.  Honestly have liked every enzyme I have tried but my favorite so far is the pomegranate.

Coconut Papaya can be used on anyone. I especially love it because I see lots of Pregnant clients. Pomegrante is my go to product for Acne/Oily clients! It is a great start that can be bumped up with other product as needed but extractions are so easy after this one even alone!

Great feedback on the enzymes.  I'm so glad you like all of them.  I do too!!!

The coconut/papaya and the raspberry/peach are both along the same lines - they are both made for sensitive skin.  The raspberry/peach would be nice for the springtime as a "blooming type of facial" and the coconut/papaya would be great for summer as a "beach facial".  So, maybe you do the raspberry/peach now, and then order again later for summer.

The Pomegranate is for normal/combo/oily types of skin and it will be a nice complement to either of the above enzymes.

I got my order yesterday!  I started with Pomegranate and Raspberry Peach.  I am going to try each one on myself as a test how long should one wait between enzyme peels?  If rasp peach is for sensitive and pomegrante is for oily/acne, which would you recommend for aging skin?

Hi Robin:  I recommend facials once a month; however, if you are trying them for yourself, you could apply them one week apart.  You asked which I would recommend for aging skin and they are all anti-aging!  Fruits are great antioxidants.  Then, you choose your enzyme based on the skin type.  The Lemon Zest is a great enzyme for normal to dry, mature, pigmented skin.

I had ordered the Coconut/Papaya Enzyme and not the Peach/Raspberry, because I was planning on doing a beach or tropical themed promo (which I haven't done yet...I was waiting for a snowstorm so I could offer a tropical getaway! LOL)

I have used this on several people so far - but on all three of the rosacea clients I tried it on they got pretty red!

Two of them I had to turn the steam off immediately.

I know everyone else is reporting no problems - and really, I am only using green tea cleanser first.

Maybe I am just "blessed" with ultra-sensitive types!

I am going to try the Peach enzyme next time and see how that goes.

I LOVE peaches!

Cindy - It's very interesting how differently people react to products.  Fruit purees, for some people, do get them pink/red.  I had a facial recently and she used Hylunias (sp?) vitamin c/fruit acid enzyme on me, which is supposed to be very gentle, but I lit up and had to have it neutralized and removed within 2 minutes.  The esthetician had never received such a response to this product.  She removed it and proceeded with the rest of the facial.  However, I do fine with my coconut and lemon zest.  So each person is different.

When I perform a facial, I do like a reaction in the skin because I know its doing something, but I realize not everyone wants a reaction.  There are more mild enzymes (powdered form) on the market, but I really wanted to make a difference in the skin.  I want clients to walk away saying "that was an amazing facial and I must go back in 4 weeks!"

The raspberry peach does smell amazing.

Ah - I use and have used hylunia. The Pineapple Papaya enzyme is very active - I had always used it WITH steam , but had one girl that reacted exactly like you did! I eventually was able to use the product normally...I think by her 3rd time.

SHE wasn't a rosacea client...but with some of them, have you noticed that they react to everything? My feeling is that if they would get facials on a regular basis that their skin would acclimate and not be so reactive. I get so nervous when they look like they have a bad sunburn!

I do have milder enzymes - the powder one and a gel...I will keep that in mind. Or maybe I will just try the retinol scrub and pair it with the ultrasonic skin scrubber.

I have a feeling the Pomegranate is going to be a hit.  I just did my first one today and she loved it!

I have only ordered some backbar items to use for facials and I must say that I'm impressed with this product line and the company itself.  I currently use another product line (Image), but I am now looking to bring more backbar and retail from Skinscripts into  my facial room.  Lisa, you are an inspiration to our industry.  I do want to add that I have the Lemon Zest, Coconut Papaya, Pumpkin Orange and Christmas Clove enzymes.  My customers love the Lemon Zest with the Lactic Acid and then I have been using the Dermafile afterwards.  My customer age group is pretty much 60+.  I love the others that I have as well, however, the Pumpkin Orange is a little strong and I did contact the office as to what I could do differently and the girl, I can't remember her name, responded asap, I appreciated that.  If anyone is using this enzyme, could you give me some different ideas on using it.  Lisa, I did see your comments about using it as a hand tx.  I look forward to learning more and more about this product line.  Have a great day everyone!

I have to agree that the Lemon Zest is my favorite.

I did not get the Pumpkin/Orange - because as you said it looks pretty strong.

The Harvest Enzyme special though was very mild.

I am wondering if you blended it with your Christmas clove if it would bring down the percentages?

I'm so glad you are enjoying the enzymes and the products.  My core enzymes when we started Skin Script were Coconut (sensitive), Lemon Zest (normal/dry with pigmentation) and Pomegranate (normal/oily with pigmentation).  We put a lot of thought into those when we made them so I'm glad they are working well.  The Pumpkin Orange was more of a promotional-type of enzyme, but you are right, it's strong.  It's still a great seller as we do have those clients with extremely resilient skin, but I find I stick with my core enzymes generally.  Some estheticians have blended their pumpkin with one of our nourishing masks to bring down the intensity (I thought that was a clever idea).  The Harvest Fruit and the Christmas Clove were designed to be gentle and also be a promotional enzyme.  If you want the promotional enzymes, such as Harvest Fruit and Christmas Clove stronger, you are always free to add some lactic or glycolic to them.

Glad to hear that we responded very quickly to your questions in the office; I realize there are some great skin care lines out there, but if we can provide great customer service that's an extra bonus for making you, the esthetician, happier.
