Hi Judith - I am also in the process of selecting a lash company for training & certification.   I am a bit confused about the company choices as well. So far, it appears that the real difference is with the lashes that you use after the training.   The natural 'mink'  lashes are reportedly more comfortable than the synthetic.   

Did you make a decision on a company?  I am looking at lavish, extreme, nova lash and  extend your lashes.

What state are you in ?

I trained with Lavish and thought they were great! I have been to 6 people in my city (who did not train with Lavish) to find one who could do the quality work on my own lashes. I liked the whole process and the information and handbook with all of the paperwork you need to get started. Maybe the others provide that too, I just haven't seen any of the other 6 use it. 

Best of luck! You will do great if you like to do tedious work. If not, it could be frustrating for you.

I am on the boarder of ca and nevada lavish was the best!!!

Hi-

I am trained in xtreme lashes and they have a great training program but expensive how much is lavish?? - 2 full days.  They offer on going support and great references to fall back on- yes this service is very tedious but I do love it!  Their lashes are synthetic- I heard that minks can attract bacteria but am not sure on this (because it is real hair).  I will say this service can be very profitable but it takes time...I am putting that time in now and hope it will pay off soon!!

Hi Megan, I  am thinking to take xtreme lashes ttraining this  year. 
I had previously trained with  other  lash  company.  howeve,  they  didn't  really  focus  on  how  to  select  and  design  lashes for  different  eye  shapes. 
Could  you  please  tell  me  from  your  personal  experience how  muck  times  did  your  trainer  spent  on  this ttopic

we did spend a little time on it - maybe 1/2 hr or more.  They offer advance classes that focuses on design. However you have to be certified which means attending the class a second time after the initial.

Hi Judith,

I am a spa owner and licensed esthetician. Back in March of 2010 I became a Novalash Extensionist and love it. I will say the service is tidious and time consuming but when done correctly the outcome is amazing.  I was fortunate in the fact that I was able to get an all day private training from one of Novalash professionals. JoAnne was a great instructor and I was well trained. What ever brand or company you choose, just make sure you are trained properly and the company you choose is well represented.
