Ya'll know that I'm not into talking about negative stuff, but I felt like this is something we should all be aware of...

An Esty purchased what she thought was a used Radiancy FSD on EBay for $1500. This person even used my name in her EBay ad. When the Esty received the machine it was a pretty beat up FTD (Radiancys European model). Actually, we don't even know of it is a real FTD or a knock off FTD. It wouldn't pulse above five pulses at first and then it went down hill from there. She contacted the seller and they told her that they would refund her $750 (half her investment) and told her to keep the machine. Now, does that make one bit of sense to you?

This Esty is now out $750 and has a non-working machine. Please, please, please be careful with making your equipment purchases. This is not the first story that I have heard and I'm sure it's not going to be the last, unfortunately. Trying to save money sometimes backfires!

Hi Shelley,

Do you mind sharing us the name of the ebay seller?

Thanks!

Ya know...this gal that sold the machine only had this one thing she was selling, so I don't think it will be an issue in the future with her. But, I do have to say...she's an Esthetician!!! Not cool!

I want to comment on this as well. It is very risky to purchase from e-bay. I myself, have ordered and received products/equipment that were exactly as described, with no issues. However, I've also ordered equipment that has arrived with broken parts, or with some parts completely missing. In this case, the shipment was delayed beyond the time period where you can open a complaint with ebay. Be careful, ask to get references if possible from other buyers (of course you won't know for sure if they are 'real' buyers or someone the seller set up). Also, buying equipment from ebay often means no training materials, and certainly no help if something breaks.

Buyer be ware!

This is scary.  Have you heard anything about the sylvan company?  I am looking for an affordable microderm machine and  have'nt had any luck finding one.

I remember a LOT of those older Radiancys on eBay!

I was tempted for a minute too...until I regained my good sense.

LOL!

I have purchased many things for personal and business use from ebay sellers.

And only one time did I buy from someone who had just the one thing. Of course it didnt work out well!

With equipment - especially expensive equipment - it's just too big of a risk.
