I am looking for an alternative for my elder clients that can not tolerate the full face waxing due to sagging loose skin.

Any suggestions and advice is much appriciated.

Thanks,

Heather

hmmm - I am not sure that Retin-A would be a wise choice for her given her already thin skin and age. I don't have any clients that old who are on it. My older ladies are looking at laser and surgical options...but they STILL get facials.

It's probably the derm's products that are screwing up her skin  ( just kidding.........sorta :D )

ya,  I agree & told her not to use it...I wish I could talk her into facials, but she's just not interested & she brings her 50 year old daughter with her & will get her facials???

Thanks for entertaining my discussion though-your a sweetheart!

I think she will just have to live with a hairy face.  You try to educate your clients on how to take care of their skin for these types of treatments & if they don't want to listen, then you just have to fire them as clients sometimes...  I'd rather not hurt someone over a $25 face wax & ruin my reputation because they are not being honest about what it is they are using at home nor will they allow you to give facials to them & provide them with product that will help keep their skin healthy...

Interesting info. I'm 63 and had my face threaded by someone who was very experienced, No issues. Later, tried with another, just brows and she left a a good bruised area on top. Later, I told her I was bruised, she said next time I'd have to hold the skin. No, next time, it hurt, I think alot worse than before and way more than wax and she seemed alot slower. I had a skin lift by a nail tech/esty, mainly nails and thought I couldn't have wax anymore, it just took holding tighter is my guesss. I'd rather wax my own face, I use berodins blue. I can bruise myself if not careful getting it taut enough.

I've used sugar with stips, with good results, but am not fast enough to use it the other way.

I think I wouldn't continue to wax her.

agreed!  Thanks...:)
