A real “myth buster” - wow! It’s kind of a long article, but a real “page turner” that was worth every word to me. And my “Super Scientist” brother (lol) confirmed every word of it — though he didn’t know the funny thing about FDA approval, or that an entire industry was claiming that NASA developed the LED (they didn’t!). Just a great read.

Hi,

I'm having difficulty locating the latest version on our scope of practice. State Board web site doesn't make it easy. Specifically, I'm looking for what we're allowed to do with LED, Micro-needling, micro pen and micro-current. Please let me know.

Thank you

Hi All!

I want to enhance my facial room with more technology. I currently use the Ultrasonic Spatula. I was interested in the Bio-Brasion wet/dry microdermabrasion or Oxygen Infusion. What about micro current or LED? What types of treatments are your clients in love with? How do you use them? Thanks!!

Hi!

I've been an esthetician for 7 years now, but have been on the sales/education side of it for the past 4. I've decided to get back into the treatment room and am finding that there are so many advanced treatment options and devices available to us! To be honest, it's a bit overwhelming, and, with a limited budget I want to offer my clients the best devices and advanced treatments that they keep them coming back for more. (Isn't that what we all want?:)

So...which advanced treatments--LED, Microcurrent, etc.,--make your clients say, "Wow!" and which machines do you use to get the best results? Thanks in advance for helping out an "old" esty...lol! BTW, I'm in Illinois and we are limited in treatments we can perform, so no laser or microphototherapy sadly.
Nue Wave LED (free standing) from Skin for Life.
Hello all,

I am thinking about purchasing Skin for Life's Nue Wave LED (the free-standing) piece of equipment. I started with their 'wands' and then chose the Celluma LED panel. I have grown to REALLY miss having the Yellow, and Green LED therapy however. I love the features, but would REALLY love to know if any of you have this model, and if so please give me your honest feedback as to your experience with it! It's within a price range I am comfortable with ($3000) I'm thinking about a lease program for 1 year.., and therefor, wouldn't be able to go much more than that. I also love Bio-Therapeutics LED unit as well that has all 4 color therapies....but its around $1500 MORE than the Nue Wave. It has a LOT more lights however....bigger unit....BUT out of my price range. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Microcurrent/ LED machinetag:skincareprofessionals.com,2012-08-14:6332291:Topic:998032012-08-14T18:47:31.815ZEmilie Spruillhttps://skincareprofessionals.com/profile/Emiliegraceskincaresolutions

Hi ladies,

I do not currently use Microcurrent or LED treatments but I'm researching them now. Would anyone like to recommend a particular machine and share what the cost is approximately? Is anyone familiar with the Dermacycle Machine by Knutek? I had a bit of a headache when I purchased my Microderm Diamond Tip machine--the first machine arrived broken--it literally would not power up, and then they wanted to have me fix the broken machine. I refused, had to disassemble, reship and wait for a new machine (after it was on backorder in the first place). I have had a decent experience with the new machine except that my ultra sonic wand, I'm pretty sure, now has a short in the wire? It used to make a clicking sound as I glided over the skin, and now it is totally silent, so I question whether or not it is working? And that was a piece of my facial that I absolutely love. I'm going to call the manufacturer today.

In the meantime, any suggestions would be excellent. I'm not necessarily ready to invest immediately, but perhaps in the near future.
