This was on Facebook...is it for real?

The Board of Barbering and Cosmetology (Board) would like to make its licensees and consumers aware that is it out of the scope of practice for a Board licensee to perform an LED light therapy treatment in a licensed establishment. Title 16, Division 6, Section 991 (a), of the California Code of Regulations states in part:991. Invasive Procedures(a) No licensee may perform any act which affects the structure or function of living tissue of the face or body. Any such act shall be considered an invasive procedure.

I've got an incredible opportunity for the right business savvy esty! I need someone to take over my clientele of 25 years in the SF Bay Area. I'm moving to So. California. My skin care business here is doing very well, I don't want to just shut it down. I will train the right person but you need to be a self starter, be able to work on your own and continue to grow the business. This will be like having your own business except someone else pays the bills!! Contact me if you think you're the one for this. (650) 610-0619.

can CA estys tint brows? I know that we can not tint lashes, but what about brows?

And what kind of dyes / tints are acceptable to use by the State Board and by ASCP rules?

If any of you California Estys live in Northern California and have a free moment today...stop by my Training Center between 10am and 2pm. The owner of RejuvenAirO2 is here from New York giving us a sneak peak of his new oxygen machine. I spent all day on Thursday in San Francisco shooting training and marketing videos for him at a professional filming studio. It was so much fun but very exhausting! If you can make it, the address is on my website: www.shelleyhancock.com

Hi Beth,

I have an Esty working part time for me that also works at a Medi-spa with a Physician. She does the Vela Shape treatments at that office. Legal....hmmm. She is trained by the company to do these treatments but legal.... that's a good question. I'll look into it for you!
