No matter how many over the counter machines or informercial machines they make and/or sell, there will always be the need for a professional microdermabrasion machine. I feel I own one of the best machines and you may use crystals or diamond tip and it comes with oxygen machine. Google skin apeel in Thousand Oaks, California. The owner is Michael and you may always negotiate with him, just like anything else in life.

i received the new mini microderm last week and I really really like it. It has an oxygen mist hand piece on it and I'm having fun playing around with misting different products. We've been spraying down our infrared blanket clients with firming toner that I keep in the refrigerator and they love it! Feels great after being in the hot sweaty blanket. I also use the firming toner after doing the microderm. It's very soothing on their face. You can use the handpiece to infuse also. It isn't as powerful as Intraceuticals machine but it works.

I found this really cool machine at the Las Vegas Show. I ordered one today. Here's the link about it on my website: http://www.shelleyhancock.com/imagedermmini.html

I'll write more once I play with it a bit!

Hello Cherrica here, I had been feeling the pressure too of trying to find the right microdermabrasion machine. I read an article at www.micro-dermabrasion-treatment.com/system/machines it was most helpful in helping me to understand how it works and pricing. I also called a few spas that did the services and was informed that sanitation was most important in chosing a good machine. Making sure that the parts used on clients were desposible or able to be sanitized. If sanitizable you need more than 1. And fnding out how long it will take before able to use on another client. I eventually chose a machine from a1afacial.com because of good customer service in the past. They have a very reasonable deal on a unit. Plus I read somewhere that the best units are sturdy and weights about 30lbs. I should get my machine in today. I'm excited about using it. I also found that you can get certified training from Grace Medical Equipment in June. If anyone has any advice on training please let me know. I hope this information has been helpful.

Hi Ladies,  I've done several with Dermafile and G.M. Collins Derm Renewal with really great results.  My mature clients love it.  I've also done a few with the diamond microdermabrasion machine on a lower suction setting followed by the Derm Renewal also with great results.

Yes I do a "micro-peel". I like to use a 30% / 50% glycolic followed by Microdermabrasion. No down time once so ever! Fantastic results esp. in a series!!  Done in the reverse your looking at about a week with more potential for scarring.

Thanks Andrea. So you are saying you do both in the same appointment and prefer doing the peel first?

About how much longer is the down time when you do both like this?

What kinds of peels do you prefer?

Oh, my, so many questions : )

Thanks,

Sally

hi Sally, I noticed your question regarding microderm and peels... I usually like to do a peel followed by microdermabrasion although I have done the reverse. The down time is much longer this way and clients need to be aware of this. It all depends on the results you are trying to achieve and the time constraints involved. If you have never seen the client before it is best to preform a test first to protect yourself and for client safety and satisfaction. At any rate the results can be outstanding especially when preformed in a series!
