Sorry! I get so any emails from groups I'm following. Yes, it is by state regarding scope of practice. Sadly, California does not currently allow tinting. Though hopefully that will change once the master esthetics licensure is approved. :)

Oh, and I haven't had any issues with sensitive skin. You can always patch test to be safe.

I get it at my local Salon Centric or Armstrong McCall.

I'm in Louisiana and our Esthetics license covers lash/brow tinting, but if there is any doubt-check with your state!

Also, purchase the color remover for areas that you need to clean up! Just use a Q tip!

Be careful if you're tinting without a Cosmotology license. I know two estheticians that have been fined for having tinting supplies in their room because they are licensed in esthetics only.

Hi Taryn, Thank You will try it, where can I purchase this,  and can this be used on sensitive skin? Thank you

Oh and the best way to do it is with a little tiny brush (comparable to a water color brush)...not the narrow tipped plastic sticks. Those are a pain!

Denise- I have used a few different products for brow and lash tinting but my favorite is Belmacil. It's a cream base and I just have medium brown, dark brown and black. It comes with a color developer which you only need about 2 drops. The instructions are very easy to follow and you can develop the color you want over time. (Usually between 3-10 minutes)

I dont ever do a patch test, but I do tint then wax just because I would think the skin would be more susceptible to irritation if I were to wax first.

Hope I helped and good luck =))

Looking for any recommendation on brow tinting, which company do you prefer, how do we master the color for the brows, do I have to do a patch test? And what's the safest way to put the tint on brows. I have clients asking me for this service, I have never done this before. Do we wax first then tint, or tint first and then wax I use soft wax. Thank you

My bikini wax is $35 and modified is $45. :-)

Haha...so true!

Smart way to deal with it and the terminilogy is clear, "modified bikini". Is your price range similar to Crickett's?

I know cost can be affected by where your business is located...
