HydraFacial machine by Edge Systems

I'm considering getting the HydraFacial machine from Edge Systems. I know that they have a few models available in different price points, but haven't decided which would be the best investment, yet.  Has anyone used it, or currently own one, if so what do you think of it?  Better / worse than other microderm machines? Ease of use?  How have your clients responded to it?  Would you use / purchase it again?  I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or recommendations on this.  Thanks in advance!

Glad to have found this site.  I was looking at the Hydrafacial machine myself and the information on this forum is truly valuable.  Has anyone heard of the Beautiful Image facial and body sculpting device?

I work at a medical spa that has a hydrafacial machine and my clients (and myself) love it! The results have been truly amazing! It is our most popular facial.

    Hi Tiffany,

I'm a little late to this thread, but I'd like to share my knowledge with you and others.   We own two Hydrafacial machines and they stay busy all the time.   The treatment is very popular.   One machine was purchased new and the other used.   The MAP is $150 for a base treatment.   Consumables cost about $30-$35 per base treatment (versus the $25 Edge quotes).

As per the ridiculously priced consumables.   There are some alternatives out there, but and this is a big but, the cap is proprietary.   I believe that Edge created their own cap mold, so the bottles only fit in the machine using their cap.   To use an alternate product requires you to remove the cap and re-use it with the other product.   This introduces a serious contamination risk without proper sanitization of the cap.

Re:  IPL vs. Hdyrafacial.   Apples and oranges.  As a Med Spa owner with tons of equipment, the comparison is laughable.   The Hydrafacial machine provides a simple, easy to administer, effective facial, with some excellent add-on treatments.   Clients love it.   A serious IPL machine does much more (and costs much more).
