Raquel and i actually use the same product for our body wraps. It works great my first client lost 18 inches. This was the least expensive most effective product i have found ... I reasearched for 7 hours found blogs did comparisons bought a kit tried it worked GREAT!!!  I honestly make more off of body wrapping the i do from facials and waxing its easy to sell and upsell. The sea clay/mud does require a shower 6 hours after the wrapping because the formula keeps working to break down and detox the body. Its almost like a spray tan.. the longer you leave it on the more effective it is. The herbal formula is not as messy but warn your clients that they are going to have to leave it on for a while and they CAN NOT shower before the wrap with out using an aloe vera based soap beause regualr body washes and soap clogs the pores and they will not see the results they want. MAKE SURE they read the pamphlet that should be supplied with your body wraps. It gives everything in full detail for before during and after care. This was an essential thing to add to my business and is highly profitable especially before bathing suit season. Keep in mind the reason the infrared is so responsive is because it burns calories. I personally do not have the money to buy that although i think its really cool.. My final advice is you need to try it for your self. There are actually a tone of body wrap formulas along with body wrapping machines. Look in your are at other spas see what they have to offer and try it out. !!!AND DO YOUR REASEARCH!!! You may not be looking for the same product i was you may want a cryotherapy wrap you never kno...w try anything availible to yo...  Hope this helps everyone. Best Of Luck

Thank you for the information Krysten!! I will definately do my reseach and always try out anything before using it on my clients.

    Have a great day ladies!

  • Celina Porter

I am also interested in adding body wraps. Eva's Esthetics has a body wraps line, they have a dvd which I am going to get because I cannot make it to their class... They only have one body wraps class a year :(
  • Raquel Willson

Always searching for something that gives better results. Has anyone heard of the Formostar Infrared Body Wrap? Is it the real deal?
  • paula teal

Has anyone else been able to get on the discount body wrap site?
  • Kirsten Kayser

I use and recommend Set-N-Me-Free body wraps. Before I started offering them many years ago, I wanted to be sure what I was offering would be effective and give results. I found this aloe based herbal formula to really work. You can do the wraps in different ways, even paint on a gel formulations and wrap lightly in painter's plastic (rather than using the linen wraps) or you can do it like a traditional herbal wrap by soaking the herbal wraps in a roasting pan first, or the bandage wraps and doing a mummy wrap. It depends how much time you have and the product that you order, but there is also home care and nutritional supplements as well. I've been very happy with the results for my clients and on myself!
  • Gina Williamson

Hi! I am planning to add 2 body wraps to my menu- an aromatherapy wrap that involves a dry brush and then oil and a wrap in plastic and thermal blanket under an infrared heating lamp, and then a detox/exfoliating wrap using a sea salt scrub.  My question is this- I've been doing research online, and as far as I can tell, it IS safe to leave the salt ON the body, then wrap in a moist sheet with plastic and a thermal blanket.  The salt acts as a detoxifier, drawing out toxins and such.

Has anyone done this kind of wrap??  I am planning to experiment on my husband to see his reaction.  I know sensitive skin or freshly waxed/shaved skin won't react well to this- so I would have warnings.  I am imagining that the salt will dissolve into the moist sheet and soothe/detoxify the skin.  afterwards I would towel it all off and then spritz with a tonic, and then lotion.

    Input??

  • sharther Chatman

Hi ladies. I also use Set-N-me Free body wrap and I have found that it works very well.
  • Necia Kuleck

I checked out the Set-N-Me Free site. It has a lot of good information on it!

My friend that did body wraps about 8 years ago is training me next week! I will find out tonight where she used to buy the products and pass it on to everyone:) I'm super excited!

  • paula teal

Had anyone used the suddenly slimmer/slender body wraps by Victoris Morton?
  • sharther Chatman

There is an Esthetician in my area that is using banana leaves for her wraps. Does anyone know where to get banana leaves for wraps?

  • Necia Kuleck

I've never heard of Banana leaves. Will have to Google that.
  • paula teal

Does anybody know anything about Victoria Morton's suddenly slender mineral wraps. Does been a pioneer in the body wrap industry for over 30yrs. Was wondering about results.
  • Necia Kuleck

Ok, I finally was able to meet up with my friend. The wrap she used is Lotus Touch seaweed gel for face and body. I'll be ordering wrap supplies next week. Can't wait to start wrapping!

Has anyone used both a Infrared sauna and heating blanket? Can you tell me if there was any diffrent results you saw?  I will be using a heating blanket until I can afford the sauna and have a place to put it.

  • Gina Williamson

How does everyone do wraps without having to turn the client over and over?
  • Andrea Stein

I do cocoon wraps not around each and every limb...still great results and clients leave detoxed and relaxed!
  • Gina Williamson

well, that's what I mean- the cocoon wrap... I am trying to work out my "step by step" for the service- starting with a sea salt scrub... so I have to scrub the back and then wipe them down and oil them up. then flip them. then scrub the front and then wipe them down and oil them up with a detox oil- then wrap them under the infrared lamp for about 15minutes... but then I need to flip them again to wipe off the oil and mist and lotion... is this too much flipping?! :-P

    haha

  • Andrea Stein

sounds like alot of flipping...have you practiced on someone to get the feel and work out the kinks? then get feedback from them. Maybe a family member or a really good client who is excited about experiencing a new service with the knowledge that you value their opinion.(maybe at a great discount for the trial run!)
  • Elisabeth Wistrom

    Hi!

have you tried having them start on their back and doing everything on the front, having them bend their legs to get the backs, then having them sit up to get their back. this is a more relaxing for the client and less stressful for you because you dont have to worry about their slipping or falling when they flip.

  • Gina Williamson

I've not tried that...would you do that with dry brushing and salt scrub as well?
  • Elisabeth Wistrom

Yep you would dry brush the body have them sit up and do the back and straight away do the salt scrub on the back, have them lay down and start on the front of the body.
  • Andrea Stein

Yes Elisabeth is right but you should still practice first to find your particular groove and then make any mental notes(or written) in order to feel confident about what you will be doing. You'll have a whole lot less stress on the paying client.
  • Shelley Hancock

I did something fun on a client this morning! I put her in my new infrared blanket and did her microphototherapy and oxygen treatment while she was all wrapped up. At one point she had the LED full face panel over her face, she was doing oxygen inhalation, all the while sweating like crazy. Sounds like alot, but she loved it!!! She liked the fact that she was saving time doing it all at once. She rebooked for next Saturday! I'll be posting particulars on my website soon. http://www.shelleyhancock.com
  • Shelley Hancock

I was the "Body" for an interesting demo by a company called Jadience. It's based around herbal extracts and then a compression wrap. I didn't get to stay in the compression very long because the demo was taking more time than they had anticipated, so I can't really give an opinion about it. I do have to say that I had a headache the rest of the day. Coincidence? Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out. http://www.jadience.com/spas/jade-body-care/jade-ginseng-hydranouri...
  • Talita Pinto

  • Marcia Kruse

I plan to add body wraps to my service menu, too, but my treatment room doesn't have a shower. Hope to learn more about Set-N-Me-Free later this month when I visit Portland, OR. Can anyone recommend other options?

Its EASY to use & only takes up 5 minutes more of time. Seeing is believing! I have dropped a whole size and the best part is that I dont have my "mommy of 4" sagging tummy. It Really Tones, tightens & Firms. www.Tanya.SkinCareTherapy.net

  • Tiffany Hendren

Tanya, it looks like a distributorship. Is there any way to try / sample the tummy wraps before buying into it? Thanks, Tiffany.
  • Tanya Eason

Hi Tiffany- of course you can try one. Contact me and I will get one to you at my cost. Perfect timing because Summer is right around the corner:-) I just had a new facial client yesterday who did the "skinny facial". We took a before & after photo on my phone because she was soo skeptical. WOW- Amazing results. She lost 2 inches in 1 hour & will continue to lose for 72 hours as she drinks her water & flushes out the toxins. I will send you her pic when you contact me.

  • Tiffany Hendren

    Great - thanks!

  • Zola Nemorin

    This sounds interesting Tanya.

What is in it, or what is it made of?

  • Tanya Eason

Ginger- it is made with All Natural Active ingredients. Horse chestnut, green tea, ivy, horsetail extract, butchers broom, guarana, rosemary, eucalyptus are just to name a few ingredients. This is a site specific ( tummy, thighs, arms, etc...) DETOX wrap that releases the toxins from our fat cells. The end result is firm, toned skin & inch loss!!!the wrap comes off after an hour but the client continues to detox for 72 hours. This is Not water loss because we want them drinking the water to flush away the toxins- the more you drink...the more you shrink:-) check out the website https://wrapsbytanya.myitworks.com contact me if you have any more questions.
