The Esthetic world is constantly changing and it can be somewhat difficult to keep up with the latest ingredient, product, buzz word, treatment, etc. It is especially difficult for us "newbies" that really don't know where to turn or what is the best source of information as there is a plethora out there. I felt this group would be a great place where other Estheticians could share information about what they heard or interesting articles they read as some of us may have missed it.
Feel free to use this group to share anything you feel important whether it's about a new ingredient, or what is hot on the market right now, or even if you just had great results with a new product or a new treatment. This group is a great way to share and keep all of the information in one place to refer back to on a regular basis.
So I've been seeing all these 24kt gold products that supposedly hydrate the skin and makes you glow...well...like gold. I think this is just a bunch of ---.
I've also seen anti-aging creams claiming to use nanotechnology with its gold particles. I was very very skeptical about all this.
Since I like to read scientific papers, I came across a very interesting article about gold nanotechnology and aging that I think it is important to share. Here is the link:
