Esthetic news... What's new in the industry today

The Esthetic world is constantly changing and it can be somewhat difficult to keep up with the latest ingredient, product, buzz word, treatment, etc. It is especially difficult for us "newbies" that really don't know where to turn or what is the best source of information as there is a plethora out there.  I felt this group would be a great place where other Estheticians could share information about what they heard or interesting articles they read as some of us may have missed it.

Feel free to use this group to share anything you feel important whether it's about a new ingredient, or what is hot on the market right now, or even if you just had great results with a new product or a new treatment. This group is a great way to share and keep all of the information in one place to refer back to on a regular basis.

Thank you and happy sharing!!

Article - Never Fire a Client

I can't say that I agree with the article 100%, but great ideas on attitude that can help in dealing with problem clients...

yeah, I read it but I don't agree 100% either.  When you have the client from hell, you want to keep them in their own hell and not bring hell to you :-)  After all, we are in business because we have an idea of what we want for ourselves - professionally, yes, AND personally. I fired a client because she wasn't being compliant with treatment, only coming back with seriously damaged skin because she was doing her own thing at home and lying about what she was doing. (I know she was lying because I caught her twice with certain items in her purse and I won't get into details about it).  Those clients are dangerous.  They may blame you for their own wrong-doing. I'm better off without her.  Just the thought that I had to see her, caused me anxiety. No more :-)
