Learn the best and most cost effective way to remove hair! Sugar of the Nile is the leader of body sugaring and manufacturing. Their customer service, education techniques and superior product will amaze you!
Where are you in CO? Do you work at a Spa and/or have 5 other people that might be interested? I can travel to you if we have a class of 6 otherwise I can get discounted travel stays for you :) Let me know. Have a great weekend!
I am in the broomfield, boulder, longmont area. practicing on my own, but i can check around to see if i know of others who may be interested in learning as well... i'll let you know. thank you for the info :) have a great weekend as well!
I have been waxing & sugaring for years, anyone know of a really good company that you do not have to pay hundreds to start using there sugaring product
Janet- I know with Sugar of the Nile you do have to show your training certificate & then you can purchase product but there is no minimum purchase or buy in amount. Cans of sugar are only $27. Maybe you can skype or google call me and show me your training & technique so I can help?
Great! I can come on site or arrange teaching at my facility in Pleasant Grove. If we can get 6-10 people per class it will cost $400. That will include a personal starter kit. Regular prices are $600 & up. Give me a call if you have more questions or have a head count 385-743-8647. Thx much
Looking to get certified in sugaring! What company has had great training for you and products? Possibly classes in Minnesota or North Dakota areas. I live in North Western Minnesota and am willing to drive or possibly even fly.
I am certified in Simply Sugar and I cannot for the life of me get my technique down. Then I get very very frustrated, so, I have almost decided to go with Nufree.
The sugar technique takes practice. I was so frustrated for a long while that I thought I would never get it down. Then all of a sudden I got it. I was told to practice on my legs while watching t.v. So I did that. It was a good way to get the technique down and to see how it felt. I then practiced on my daughters.
There are actually only 2 places I'm not comfortable with it yet, but one day hope to be....The eyebrows - I worry that I will just take them off and the labia of the brazilian. It is a difficult area to get flick.
As for Nufree....it is a nice soybased product, but the cleanser you use with it has to be kept up daily. My boss bought it and she won't keep up with the expense of it. The girls don't keep the cleanser heated or put away each day so it is not clean. I prefer to use the sugar paste, soft wax, and hard wax depending on what I am waxing.
@ Vanessa - There is a solution that is in warmer that you put the tools in between each application. You are supposed to put the solution in the bottle each night and clean out the warmer.
@ Desiree - I use Sugar of the Nile. I have used Tamara's too, but I am certified with Sugar of the Nile. The consistency is different between the two. I prefer Sugar of the Nile only because that is what I am used to.
Are there any companies that will sell body sugar to estheticians without training or a training certificate? I know how to do it pretty well based on my esthetic knowledge combined with watching videos combined with experimentation with a home sugaring kit, but I haven't been formally trained. I feel confident that I could perform the service well on clients, and I know that it is within my scope of practice. I haven't been able to master making my own sugar, and really don't want to deal with the mess of cooking it anyway. It frustrates me that these companies are holding this relatively simple professional treatment hostage. I'd like to support a company that will sell to me as a licensed professional without all the expensive hoop-jumping.
@Christine. I doubt it very seriously. Most companies to purchase their sugar paste, you either need a certificate from another company or go through their training. You can do a search to see if there is another company that will sell to without this, but again, I doubt it.
I have used several lines. I use Alexandria for the paste and Salon Sugar Products for the strip. Yes I use both as come clients prefer one over the other. I will be testing another company soon. I was with Sugar of the Nile for a few years but got a batch that stuck to the skin no matter what and was told the next batch would be better. No refund, no return and no exchange from the company or my rep so I switched.
I just tried Depilar sugar paste in firm, soft and regular with norlabusa.com and I love it. But I still love the Bikini Beauty strip sugar from salon sugar products for part of the brazilian.

@Christine. Look at Amazon. They do have some sugar paste. However, I have never heard of these companies. "Buyer beware"
