Shelley's Show and Tell

I have only used the Dermasweep mini so far. I'm sure that on March 20th we'll get the chance to play with the MD unit.

My favorite LED tool is a big one...the Luminox panel. Oh my, is it fabulous! My very first LED unit years ago was the Revitalight. I got some good results with that machine. Then I stepped up to units that did the LED and microcurrent simultaneously. Less time and less work on my body.

With microcurrent you have to go with your gut about a piece of equipment. That doesn't mean not to do your homework but there's many different types of microcurrent. some Esty's prefer the wands, some the gloves, others prefer the handpieces with prongs. Your body needs to feel comfortable doing whichever you chose. You definitely want to think about client results but always remember your body...you'll be doing this all day long and after many years, your body begins to talk to you! :)

It's bright and early Saturday morning (8am) and I have 7 clients today! I love being busy. I'm partly this busy because I did Groupon on Janaury 20th. I did it mostly to prove that it can work if you work it right. It's totally taken my business to the next level. Well, I had my 15 seconds of fame on HSN yesterday! LOL!!! Got myself all nervous and it was over before I knew it. It was fun though!

 

For someone who is anti-microdermabrasion...I am sure loving the Dermasweep and so are my clients. I don't recall microderm ever leaving the skin so smooth without any irritation. I'm using it as a prep for both the Radiancy MicroPhototherapy and the Intraceuticals Oxygen Infusion. and it has really boosted the results of these treatments!

Something that has really been working for me... At night I've been using the Youth Infusion 7 Serum and the Real Transformation Lotion over the top. Wow, my skin feels awesome and is really looking good. I like the combination of the two together. You can read about them on my website on the Specialty Products page. This morning my husband and I discussed opening two more Real Transformation Training Centers. One in the mid-west and one on the east coast. Two things to know about me before asking questions though: I am so not an ingredient kinda Esty! I can share my experiences about certain product ingredients but knowing about them in-depth is just not my thing. Also, I gave up waxing years ago! Never did like it! So, I can't be much help to you with waxing questions. Now if you want to talk about hair removal with the Radiancy LHE technology...that's a whole other subject! :-) Have a fabulous day everyone!

Yesterday my husband and I had a meeting with the developer of Luminox LED light panel. He's an engineer that has done a ton of research on LED for skin care. We were both mesmerized listening to him talk. What I came out of that meeting with was this...not all LED's are created equal!! There is so much more to making an effective LED machine than meets the eye. I've ask him to come speak at the Center so we can spread that word about the technology and ya'll don't spend your $$ on inferior pieces of equipment. I met Shelley over the internet; only she did not know it! I was still in school when I came across her website and began becoming so intrigued with all she had to offer, but more importantly how she had touched so many lives, both as an educator/mentor and as a seasoned esthetician! I poked around her site for what seemed like hours and thought to myself ‘when I am finished with school I am going to meet this lady!’

I finished school, worked for awhile and being an entrepreneur at heart decided to open my own place. I am always doing research on the net and I started seeing Shelley pop up everywhere I went! I went back to her website again and it was even more inspiring then the first time I visited. I was very interested in the MicroPhototherapy treatment and wanted to add it to my menu of services. The next day I received a mailer from the company that sells the Radiancy equipment and low and behold there she was AGAIN! I like to think of it as fate, I knew we were just meant to meet. I emailed her right away and she responded the next morning. When we met I felt as though I had known Shelley for years! She was so warm and inviting and answered all my questions without making me feel like I was intruding on her time. I wanted to bring in the Radiancy treatments to my spa and asked if she would help me. At first she agreed to doing my ‘Jump Start’ with four clients, but I was so gung-ho that I booked 6! She was so excited for me she agreed to the new number. ☺ 

On the day of my ‘Jump Start’ one of my clients had a conflict so his wife took his place instead and another just decided not to do it, so we had 5 total. Shelley was very professional, enlightening to both myself, and my clients, and she was FUN! I could tell that my clients were very comfortable with Shelley, but then I had no doubt they would be. I sold $4050 at my ‘Jump Start’! All in ONE DAY! Every single client purchased the series and one, the wife of the gentleman who could not make it, bought it for her and for him! The best part of my ‘Jump Start’ is that I connected with a wonderful person; one whom I hope will remain my friend for a long, long time. Thanks Shelley!!!

I wish I could come and meet you and Lisa..I have been looking at her line with great interest.  And would love to hear more about LED.  I purchased a (not inexpensive) LED device and am very disappointed with the lack of results. Sounds fascinating!

I Just had to share this interesting experience I'm having today! I had 5 clients booked back to back today starting at 9am. My Esty had 3 clients booked back to back starting at 9:30. When I got in this morning there was a message from her saying she was sick. Not good for me! Too late to cancel her clients, especially because they were new Groupon people. Good thing I ate my Wheaties this morning!

I have dual pieces of all of my equipment, so I just went back and forth between the two rooms. While someone was under the full face panel, I'd get the next one started in the other room with the Radiancy FSD. I did it! I stayed calm and took very good care of everyone but.....I'm getting way too old for this stuff!

The only reason I am able to post this right now is that the storm is just about over and I have a client under the face panel. That panel has been my saving grace today!

I deserve a BIG glass of wine tonight (maybe two!).

I just odered a new piece of equipment! Here I go again! On Tuesday a client of mine in her late 50's told me she was thinking about getting liposuction. She is not heavy, In fact, she has lost alot of weight in the past year. She just needs toning. Yes, working out is her first step but she has some loss of eleasticity on her stomach that's not going to change from situps. We are going to experiement on her with ultrasound and RF. I found a very cool machine and it's on the way to me! I'll keep you guys in the loop with our results.

Yesterday I had an East Coast trainer for Radiancy's LHE technology here at the Center. WOW....she was awesome. She was flown out here because I sold a Duet to an Esty and we wanted to make sure she had proper training. I really learned a lot about this technology from her. I am asking Radiancy to fly her back out again soon so I can fill the room with everyone that wants to learn in-depth about LHE. I've been using it for 3 years now but feel even more excited about it after yesterday!

What a fabulous day we had at the Center yesterday! In the morning, Lisa from Skin Scripts did her magic. She's a wonderful teacher. I've been using her products for awhile now, but I learned some really fun stuff yesterday and can't wait to start playing this week.

 

In the afternoon, we had Louise from Tan Towels do a demonstration and explain how to offer this as a service to our clients. Gals, there's good money in tanning and using the tan towel is so easy and quick. All of us that were there came up with offering a lower leg treatment while you're client is under the steamer or LED panel or while their masking. This is a quick way to peak their interest about a full body treatment or purchasing the towels to use at home. Call or email me if you'd lke more info! I'll be posting more about this on my website later this week.

I'm having a ton of fun putting together "Super Slimming Body Treatments". I found a fabulous infrared blanket for much less than some of the other ones I've seen. I had a friend, that uses the expensive one in her business, test this one and she gave it the thumbs up! I've got a dual foot detox and the minute I started talking about it, my clients starting booking! The foot detox has been around quite awhile and I've never paid much attention, but I can tell you that personally I have more energy since I started doing it on myself. There is something to it! I have more toys coming that I'll tell you about once I get them up and running. There will be a page about these treatments on my training website soon. The Super Slimming Body Treatment workshop yesterday as fabulous! Our teacher shared a ton of information and ideas with us. We did a demo of the infrared blanket and also the electo-stimulation machine (love that machine!). Also, a couple of gals did a foot detox. I was exhausted and took the infrared blanket home so I could recharge myself!! I feel awesome this morning...ready for another full week!

Dr. Darren Starwyn came to my Center on Monday to demo his ELR equipment/treatment. There were 9 of us Esty's there. I got to be the model. Interesting treatment. It was very involved, seven steps to the treatment, but I can imagine once you know what you're doing you breeze right through it. I have to say that my whole body felt energized after the treatment. My skin looked awesome and of course even better the next day.

Here's a funny story: Right after everyone left on Monday I jumped in the car to run an errand to Costco. I didn't fix myself up at all before leaving...you know how your hair gets all messy and no blush, etc. Well, the 30 something kid at the check out stand says to me "Do a lot of people tell you that you have beautiful eyes?" I'm turning 51 in a couple of months so if that's what this treatment will get me....I'll take two machines please!!

I've been testing out a machine for about a month now that I purchased for a client of mine that said she was going to get Liposuction (she doesn' need it!). She's a perfect weight, she just needs some skin tightening. It uses ultra sound and RF....a scaled down version from the medical equipment. Well, I'm seeing results! I've been using it on myself as well (my perimenopausal stomach!) and by george it's working. I haven't posted anything on my website yet. I thought I'd let ya'll be the first to hear about it. I'll write more when I get back from Las Vegas.
