For those of you that are trained in Permanent Cosmetics and those who are interested!
I'm a licensed Permanent Cosmetic Technician and am trained in the Softap method. I've been licensed for a year now and love it. It helped that i was already an Esthetician when i was trained.
Permanent makeup is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup, such as eyelining and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids in the most natural way.

Hi Stacey!
I just stumbled across your group and am interested in Softap. I haven't found any training opportunities in AK, but am very much interested in gathering more information from you.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Stacey. I have been quoted a price of $3500 for 4 or 5 days training in the Softap method. Is this similar to your experience? Did you train under someone, or did you do independent study? Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Wonda,
Yes that price sounds about right. Since it's all pretty new still the training is only 4-5 days but make sure you get an internship/mentorship after your training. I know it's required in Washington State at least.
Softap is an awesome method I hope you enjoy it! I trained under someone for about 6 months after my initial class.

I originally trained with the Nouveau Contour Academy on the digital NC Intelligent machine. Loved it! But I have since learned the hand tool method and the rotary pen. How is Soft Tap different than other hand tools?

I would love to join the group. Just returned from my training course Sunday night and look forward to passing my exam and finding a mentor(Manassas, VA). I learned on a Digital Rotary machine and we did not learn Softap.

Permanent makeup training: I have rec'd valuable training at The American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics in Arlington, Texas, but started with Dr. Sotelo in San Antonio, TX. There is also a very good school in San Antonio that teaches "soft tap" called Permanent Cosmetics by Roxanne Gloria. hope this helps

Hello PC Group, thank you Marylou for sharing where you received training. I'm also interested in training. If anyone in the NC area can recommend a school, please share; otherwise, I'm open to traveling too. Marylou, how long was your training? Thanks in advance! a
