    welcome Mary!

Believe it or not I think it's getting difficult looking for a job in general.  Took me a long time to get the esthetician position where I'm at, 7 months! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to meet their expectations :-(

However, I do plan to start my business.  I'd rather go by my rules and expectations!  I just got to buy my equipment piece by piece...it'll be worth it though.

    My advice:

    1. Do what you can to stay positive. From my experience, it can really tough out there, since most of the salons/spas are looking for those with 1+ years experience.
    2. Keep in touch with your clients you worked on from school, because that will show employers that you do have a client following.
    3. Give everything you got to sell yourself.
    4. Keep an open mind because there will be other opportunities: esthetics teacher, makeup artist, medical esthetician (if you have any medical background), able to work on a destination cruise (one of my many goals), etc.

I hope I was able to help you out.

Hello, Mary!  Offhand, I don't, but I suggest that you go to the Touch for Cancer

website and click on the link that will take you to the page listing the estheticians that are practicing in each state.  Perhaps, they can give you some leads.  Let me know if this helps.  Thanks!
