Standing Out in the Esthetics Wolf Pack

It's no secret I love the movie The Hangover, and while parts 2 and 3 fell short part 1 is an all time fan favorite of mine. My favorite character of the four outrageously funny friends is Alan. His purse and lack of social graces made him a stand out among the "wolf pack" and while most estheticians couldn't imagine how the Hangover could teach us anything about our roles as industry professionals leave it to yours truly to find the hidden jewels. So without further ado here are a few ways to set yourself apart in the esthetics wolf pack.

#1 Specialize In Something

These days you need a specialty. It's easy to get lost in the sea of professionals out there today and even more tempting to be a  jane-of-all-trades master of none. So, find an area of interest and become an expert in it. Market yourself to the public with a real  emphasis on your specialty area and highlight your credentials. This will not only help guide clients your way, but will also create  a unique niche just for your biz and keep you connected to your purpose.

#2 Candyland Please

There is a certain spa I know (rhymes with kiss) that is  known for serving the most delectable chocolate brownies on this side of town. Say what you want, but people really talk not only about the fab treatments they receive at the place but also  about the really amazing chocolate brownie bites served there. This kind of candyland paradise is just what I am talking about when trying to stand out from the wolf pack.  Its the small details that keep guest coming back, and who doesn't want the whole sensory experience? So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and indulge your guests taste buds. Need a few tips in the goody department? Check out the 4 Spa Treats for Your Chic Boutique in 2016.

#3 Billboards Top 10...Okay Not Really

Its time to become an esthetics popstar. If you are not creating rockin treatments then you definitely are not standing out in the wolf pack. With just  a little creativity you can create new and exciting treatments to enhance your current facial menu and here's a hint; try to create clever or interesting names for your treatment menu. What sounds better for example Basic European Facial or Island Paradise facial?  Add a little zest to your menu and set yourself apart.

XOXO
