My first experience with LED was way back in 2003. It's kind of a funny story and I think I'll make a video and put on my website! Revitalight was my first machine. I got some great results, but after a while I couldn't handle sitting there for as…Continue

Help! I scratched client with dermafile! 31 Replies

I tried the dermafile on a client, while she was steaming with a SS enyme masque yesterday, and she had a large, round scar on her lower cheek that she was concerned about. She wrote me today and said this: "scratched an area in a line under where…Continue

Great ideas.  I just ordered the ultrasonic spatula but I will have to save up my money next for the LED.  I have been charging too many items.

Thanks shelley!

Nicole...this is music to my ears! You cetainly could add the LED mask to  the middle of your facial and then do the massage at the end like you prefer. I'll tell you something that is working incredible with the LED...my Real PerformanceGel with DMAE and Matrixyl 3000. A thin layer before you place the mask on your client.  I actually have a few clients on it for home use on a daily basis and they love it!

Definitely use your spatula to remove the cleanser prior to a peel. Yes, you could remove a deeper peel with this...if you are using a solution and/or water to remove the peel, just take it off the skin with your spatula and then rinse well afterwards.

I bought the LED mask at the beginning of the year and I love it!  It is so easy to add it to a service that I've been using it with most of my peels.  I haven't used it with a facial yet and I'm debating whether to do it before or after the massage- I really like the idea of ending with the massage.

I also bought the ultrasonic spatula (so much easier than my old one with the cords) and I've been using it on most clients to remove my enzymes.  I'm wondering if I could use it to remove the cleanser prior to doing an peel?  Would this provide a deeper peel?  Are there some peels I should not use it with?

Cindy...thanks for the kind words!! Much appreciated! You may want to think about my LED mask. I'm getting great feedback from the Estys who have it. I'm loving it for myself at home in the evening! You'd think with all of the toys we have in our treatment rooms we'd be working on our own faces....I don't know about you, but at the end of the day, I just wanna go home! So, I sit there at night with the mask on looking super sexy for my husband! :-)

Here's a silly video we made with it. Scroll to the bottom of this page:

Shelley - oh, I wish I would have seen your Jan 19th post earlier!

I had a client in yesterday...I did a Radiancy FSD then a layer of the Skin Script TCA peel.  I just topped with serums - but extra penetration would have been fabulous.

I so need an LED panel...and now that I wish I would have taken the extra time to at least use my handheld led ( I use it on myself mostly just because it takes soooo much time)

You are awsome and inspiring!

I tried this on myself first and it turned out so great that I've now done a couple of clients this way. I used the Radiancy FSD, then did Skin Script TCA (just one layer) and then went under the red LED panel for 15 minutes. Then.....I applied my RealPerformanceGel (with DMAE & Matrixyl 3000) and used the electroporation machine to penetrate it in. I'm tellin' ya...it looked fabulous! I typically don't do much of anything after a TCA but this really worked!

A long time elderly client of mine is house bound because of a fall. I went to her home a couple of days ago to give her a pick me up. I only took my trusty dusty ultrasonic spatula! She sat in her kitchen chair, i cleansed and put on an enzyme...we chatted for a few minutes and i took the enzyme off with the spatula. Then I applied my Real PerfromanceGel (with DMAE and Matrixyl 3000) and penetrated it in with the spatula...we chatted for a few more minutes, then I did a hot towel wrap and moisturized. She felt sooooo much better and guess what? I felt so much better for having helped her!!
