Lisa, thanks for remembering.  Had a GREAT meeting.  They are very enthusiastic.

The program coordinator is taking the information to others for approval.  This is the plan:  I offered to volunteer one morning or afternoon per week-one week in-patient the next outpatient. I will work with chemotherapy patients and radiation patients.  The hospital will help me with products and supplies I need.

But, here's some other great news.  They are in the process of developing a wellness spa that will probably open in the next year to year and a half and all of this may evolve into a position for me-so basically I think Iam laying the groundwork.  They want to have a program esp. for breast cancer survivors.  I really liked the program coordinator.  I put to together a packet of information

for her and I'll write u a note later about what was in it, if you are interested.

I think I did a pretty good job of anticipating their questions and concerns.

Thanks, J.

Hello, Lisa.  Totally agree with the medical approach.  Even though each client is evaluated individually, I think we need to develop and share protocols with each other that we have found effective.  A good argument for COE in the hospital setting is safety and sanitation.  Safety in giving appropriate treatments and avoiding complications and sanitation for immune suppression.  Patient's will be seeking services and many places do not provide the above-it makes sense that

the hospital have services available. I'll let u know what happens Thursday re:

appt. with oncology program director. Thanks!  J.
